My name is Cara R., I'm 24, a college graduate of Grove City College with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. Flute was my main instrument, but i also play piano too. I've played flute for 12 years and piano for 7. This is my first time teaching, but my dream job would be to teach lessons from my home. I love music and I absolutely love teaching anyone who is interested to learn about it! From the basics to the notes on the staff, to the circle of fifths and complicated theory, i would love to teach all aspects of music. If you're a beginner, or you've been playing for a few years, we can find where you are and get you started right away! Hi, my name is Elliott and I am a native of Penn Hills, Pa. My primary instrument is the trombone which I started playing at the age of 9. I also played violin, cello, and electric bass. I received my bachelor's degree from Edinboro University of Pa and my master's degree from New Jersey City University majoring in music education and performance. I am currently a member of the Pittsburgh Musicians Union and Delegate for the American Federation of Musicians of the U.S. and Canada. I am also a member of the Music Educators National Conference, Pennsylvania Music Educators Association and the International Trombone Association. I have performed with the Harold Betters, Trombone Forum Big Band, and the North Suburban Symphonic Band.

I am a professional percussionist and recording engineer with a Bachelors in Music Technology from Duquesne University. I have been playing for 14 years and am versed in in many drumming styles including rock, funk, jazz, afro-cuban, and brazilian. As a recording engineer I have recorded every genre from classical to metal. I cover everything from sound theory and physics to hands on application.

Originally from Baltimore, classical pianist Gabrielle E. studied at Peabody Preparatory with a focus in performance and music theory. Later, she moved to Pittsburgh and received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Duquesne University and her Master's of Music Degree in Music Technology: Composition. She has won the Spring Piano Competition of the Duquesne Piano Department for three years in a row. She frequently records all periods of repertoire and also many original compositions. She has a strong passion for performing and writing the highest quality of music. Bo, a soprano, is currently a graduate assistant at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Her performance experiences include opera performances, the main role"Lauretta" in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Suor Angelica, singing in Duquesne University’s Aria Night, Night of Broadway and Cabaret Favorites, and Scene Night.

As a native of China, she completed her undergraduate at the Shenyang Conservatory of Music in Shenyang, China. Her performances in China include performances with the Shenyang Conservatory of Music and the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. Bo also took part in making the recordings for Ma Kai’s “Motherland Is In My Heart”. In the summer of 2011, Bo traveled to Rome, Italy, to study and perform at Duquesne University’s Rome campus, successfully completing their Lirica Roma program.

I grew up around Atlanta, GA and started playing piano when I was around 7 years old and bass when I was 11. Most of my education has been on the upright bass. I've studied classical bass performance at major music schools on the east coast and in the midwest. I've studied and worked with musicians from many of the great orchestras around the world.

I enjoy working with students who are just coming to the bass or piano for the first time and getting them started with music in a rewarding way as well as more advanced students that need finer musical direction or audition coaching.

I am a candidate for a M.M. In Horn Performance at Carnegie Mellon University, where I studies with Stephen Kostyniak (Associate Principal Horn, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra). At CMU, I have performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra. Before coming to CMU, I attended Youngstown State University where I served as Principal Horn of the Dana Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble.
Outside of Carnegie Mellon, I serve as fourth horn of the Greenville Symphony, and Rotating Principal horn of the Southern Tier Symphony. I have also performed with the Westmoreland Symphony, Youngstown Symphony, W.D. Packard Band, Quantum Theatre, and Butler Symphony.
