I am a Board-Certified Music Therapist with over twenty years of Therapy and Teaching experience. I am a DePaul University Music graduate and studied Classical Guitar with Richard Pick. I enjoy working with beginning and challenging students and love singing and playing guitar.

I studied voice at Brigham Young University. My musical studies continued at a college in California. I later took private Masters classes from my former professor, Ray Arbizu. Mr.Arbizu had been a leading opera singer in Germany before teaching at B.Y.U.

I've been a choir conductor and music director on and off since 1973.

I had several piano teachers, one of whom had taken from a concert pianist.

I've been teaching privately for 17 years.

I sing professionally.

I teach music. The guitar just happens to be the particular instrument I choose. Music as a language, discipline, and art, is the goal. I've been teaching, performing, studying, composing, for some thirty years. I've studied and gigged in the classical, jazz, rock, blues, and country idioms. I've taught composition and improvisation to instruments other than guitar, (vocalists, fiddle, sax, piano, trumpet) I've taught all ages and levels. I currently pursue a doctorate of music in guitar at university. Students learn many things when studying with me. They learn physically how to play a particular instrument while learning music as its own language. Students learn how to learn, learn self-discipline, and access their musical expression, all life changing experiences.

I started playing music by taking group piano lessons through a Yamaha music school when I was about 7 years old. I started playing drums when I was 11 and guitar at 13. By the time I was in high school, I was involved playing all different types of percussion in the marching band, jazz band, and steel drum band, in addition to developing an interested in music recording and production. This was also the time when I started to teach drum lessons. Since then, I have played in multiple bands in venues all over Phoenix. I have worked on production for albums and videos for many different bands. I have also completed an Interdisciplinary Degree in Arts and Music at ASU.

Teaching drums for over 13 years, Aaron has influenced hundreds of budding musicians to get the most from their instrument. He has studied privately with Rob Laytham (Modern Drummer columnist), Joe Leroux (marching guru), Gary Chaffe (legendary drummer) and many others throughout the years. He has taken the best techniques and teaching styles from his influences and molded them together to form what he considers to be the most effective and inspiring method available.

I teach drum set in nearly every style and hybrid imaginable, as well as percussion and drum circle facilitation.

Accomplishments include recording 7 albums with various groups, touring with national acts across the west coast, drumming for the Warner Brothers Television house band, and playing countless live shows (152 shows in 2007 alone).

My name is Spencer G. and I am freelance Percussionist and Drummer in the Phoenix area. I have a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Percussion and Drum Performance. I am originally from Los Angeles where I studied with top TV and film recording musicians. I currently teach percussion at several middle schools and I lecture at South Mountain Community College. I also have experience work with special needs students including: aspergers, extreme OCD, extreme Tourette Syndrome, and other learning disabilities. I also specialize in teaching students ages 5-18. I play predominantly with professional music theater companies in the Phoenix area as well as with a prominent Phoenix samba band, and with religious praise bands.

I love music! To me, it truly is a universal language, and nothing else can capture and express emotion quite like it. Ever since I picked up a guitar 15 years ago, I've been on a quest to learn and speak the language of music. One discovery I have made along the way is that I love teaching it to others, too!

Over the past 10 years, I've been busy immersing myself in music. The excitement of performing live on stage, the pride of writing a song that touches someone, the reward of watching a student learn something new—these are the things that fuel my passion. My dream is that my students will one day be able to experience these things!

I've been teaching guitar lessons for over 5 years, and I just recently graduated from ASU with a B.S. in psychology. Also, I am co-founder, producer, and engineer at an independent recording studio in Mesa, AZ. My name is Jennifer and I am a Music Educator! I am an Arizona native and have been involved with music my whole life. I have played the clarinet for 14 years and recently graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. I also hold an Associate's Degree in Music from Eastern Arizona College and a teaching certification in instrumental music education. I reside in Tempe, Arizona and I am currently an elementary/junior high band director in Peoria, Arizona. I have experience with performing in a variety of ensembles including symphony orchestra, concert band, jazz band, small ensembles, and my favorite- marching band!

I currently perform with the Mesa Community College Community Band in Mesa, Arizona.

With 15 years performing and 8 years teaching experience under my belt, I am a focused teacher and musician who really enjoys seeing students achieve their goals and desires musically. I attended Arizona State University to better both my teaching and personal musical skills. I started studying piano and singing from a very young age. I used to make my friends come over and watch me perform (karaoke style--before karaoke was big) when i was in the 4th grade. My greatest love is music, performing music, and sharing it with others. As a singer i have studied all types of music, but my favorite- and what i excell at- is opera.

I have taken private voice and piano lessons constantly since the age of 5, and have studied opera performance and music theory in college. I perform locally around the community as a singer, direct the church choir, and occassionally accompany soloists on the piano. I have taught private lessons in voice and piano for 5 years and i greatly enjoy the one on one experience of teaching private lessons.
