Valerie Rocks!

Valerie has been teaching my daughter for a couple years. My child has gone from shy, unskilled and uncertain in her singing TO confident, skilled and loves to perform. Valerie's one-on-one sessions are productive and tailored to my child's needs. She also draws on other resources to help develop my child's talent thru studio and recommendations. Her teaching skills are excellent as have seen my daughter transform steadily over these past few years. I highly, highly, highly recommend Valerie as a teacher. When I was searching for a singing teacher, I didn't know where to look and what to look for and went through Take Lessons and got a 'gem'.

Fantastic!

Valerie is a great teacher on many levels. I've heard my improvements dramatically within several lessons because of her instruction and if you are nervous she helps you get over it quickly. She is very friendly and helps you achieve your goal, I couldn't recommend her highly enough!

Love her!

I was quitting smoking when I met Valerie and I wanted to get my voice back. I was so self-conscious of my sound and range but after 5 minutes with her I just let go! She turned my voice around quick, and made me more aware of my stance and breath. I'm really happy I got her as a teacher!

Coming from a beginner-level guitar player who has previously taken guitar courses, Andrew's definitely extremely talented and, equally importantly, very insightful and understanding when it comes to teaching. He is patient, smart, draws good examples for understanding concepts, and is enjoyable to play alongside with.

andrew is a great teacher

i've been taking bass lessons from andrew for several years and have nothing but great things to say about his teaching abilities. he is organized yet flexible, allowing you to take the lessons the direction you want to take it. he can really connect to the way you think and channel that to advance your skills. my only complaint i don't see him enough, but that's my fault.

Great Instructor

Andrew went above and beyond what I ever expected. He did a great job of covering rudiments and technical aspects, while simultaneously focusing on the "art" of bass playing. He was very aware of my skill level and responsive to my needs as a student. I highly recommend him for beginners and imagine that he would be great for more skilled students as well

Vince is a wonderful teacher and a fantastic performer. He introduced me to a handful of rather advanced music theories when I was still a pre-intermediate music student and was able to communicate the ideas clearly and precisely. We don't play the same instruments--I'm a guitarist, he's a trumpeter--but it didn't matter since Vince uses clear language and live examples to demonstrate what he teaches. I learned a lot from him and would highly recommend lessons with him, especially one-on-one style lessons.

Vince really knows his stuff! I play acoustic guitar. I guess I would classify myself as an intermediate player. What I really like about Vince is the variety of instruments he can teach. I have had the chance to also learn about playing electric guitar and electric bass.

Vince is a very gifted multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer. He is an excellent trumpet player, bassist, backing vocalist and pro-tools engineer. His ear for arrangement is spot-on. Other defining attributes are his patience and willingness to teach. Vince will never look at the clock or feel like he is doing you a favor when he is teaching you something challenging. That, to me, is as important as technical prowess. Hire Vince as your teacher and you'll have no regrets!
