I'd be the ideal teacher for students wanting to learn Jazz, Blues, & Rock piano and keyboards. I will incorporate music theory and Jazz theory into the lessons. My style of teaching encourages students to relax and focus. Lessons with me consist of piano exercises and songs specific to the skill level of the student.

With 5 years of piano teaching experience I've worked with everyone from young children learning to play for the first time; to adults that want to take on piano later in life. I can help even functional pianist sharpen their skills. I can help high school students planning on majoring in Jazz or Classical Piano prepare for college.

My fascination with creating music began in High School. I received an acoustic guitar from one uncle and was taught a handful of chords by another and I was off and running, eventually trading in my elementary school cello for an electric guitar (not the most original story I'm sure).

After playing in my first band right after High School I was certain of what I wanted to do. Eventually switching to bass for my second serious band I decided to abandon the universe of self taught guitar and bass and began taking private bass lessons as well as piano at the local community college.

I, Glenn Michael, a native Texan, am a recent graduate of the University of Texas College of Fine Arts with a concentration in audio recording, piano performance, and percussion. I'm a certified elementary educator and professional musician with decades of experience and a tremendous passion for music. I moved 2,000 miles from my home in Boise, ID to be part of the thriving music community of Austin TX. Along the way I've played with such legends as the Flatlanders, Charlie Robison, Alejandro Escovedo, Chuck Prophet, Kelly Willis, Jimmy LaFave and many others. I've toured all over the world as a member of major-label acts and as a solo artist. My name is Jordan and I have been playing and writing music for about 15 years. I have studied and performed classical guitar, rock, country and blues. While playing the guitar is one passion, writing songs is another. Both of these were studied even further while completing my B.A. at Berklee College of Music in Boston MA. I have played over 150 dates in the last year and have performed in front of more that 3,000 people.
