Everyone responds differently to music, that is why I prepare special lessons for each student. It is important that my students enjoy what they are playing and for that reason I have a variety of repertoire that they can choose from.

Metro area I performed as a chorister and soloist at The National Shrine, Metropolitan A.M.E Church, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. My exposure to a wide range of music, from baroque to contemporary gospel and musical theater, has strongly influenced my teaching. My goal is always to help a student develop their own understanding and experience of singing in a way that is fun, interactive, and personal while also progressively building a strong technique.

As a voice teacher, I want to help my students settle comfortably into their own musicality by showing them the building blocks of a solid technique, drawing particularly from the things that helped me grow as a vocalist. I want my students to feel strong in their body, comfortable and relaxed in their breath, and confident in their performance. Vocal technique, repertoire building and theory are important components for anyone who is serious about becoming a musician. From the very beginner to the seasoned singer, a regular voice lesson allows singers to strengthen their skills, develop their technique, and learn more about themselves as an artist.
