Beginner-rudimental, intermediate and advanced concert/orchestral and marching percussion, Beginner-professional drumset. I have been playing drums since 1990. Other than snare drum in marching band, I taught myself to play drum set through various media in the 1990's such as magazines, videos and much interaction with drum & bugle corps. I specialize in DCI style marching snare and have instructed drumlines from various Oho schools. In the late 1990's I studied jazz; big band and combo style. From 2000-2006 I was a drummer in three local rock bands, one of which performed and recorded extensively.

I am a percussionist by nature, and that's where my expertise lies, but I am able to help out beginning to intermediate guitarists and pianists. I believe strongly in crafting well-rounded students and would love to have the opportunity to work with you.

I'm pretty laid back but I expect dedication to the craft. Outside practice is essential, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming. Music is to be enjoyed and so should the learning process. In the end, I'm all about helping the student reach his or her personal goals and will structure the lessons to guarantee success with that.
I teach any skill and any age anything you want to know about drums! Even if you have never played drums before I can get you playing and reading music in just a few lessons!
