I have been a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, City Music Cleveland Orchestra, and National Chorale at Avery Fisher Hall.
I continue to refine my vocal technique with my voice teacher, Joann Zajac, one of the most respected teachers today. This keeps my vocal technique fresh so I can pass on the knowledge to my students.

Teaching brings joy to my life. I love instructing flute students of all ages and experience levels, and find that they often teach me just as much as I teach them. While I want my students to excel, above all I hope they come away from lessons with a greater appreciation and understanding of the incredible power of music.

Now accepting new students for in-home lessons. I have over 12 years experience teaching individual lessons. My areas of study were Elementary Education, Music Performance, and Theatre. It is my belief that each student learns at their own pace and in their own way. My goal as a teacher is to find the best program for each student so that they can enjoy learning their instrument or craft and come away from the experience with a better understanding of it, in general, and a feeling of accomplishment for themselves. Some students want to become professional performers and others simply want to learn for their own enjoyment. Both of those are admirable goals.

I am a music teacher and musician in the Los Angeles area. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. I started my music education at the age of three; it started with clapping, rolling around on the floor, and Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade. I was fascinated by the magic that music possesses; as Rimsky-Korsakov unfold a tale of an enchanted land, with camel-riding merchants, bazaar, and princesses, without uttering a single word. I went on to learn a few instruments: xylophone, three different kinds of recorders, and then all this eventually led to flute.
I started studying flute at the age of 8, and it has been a delightful journey. In high school, I have participated in marching band, symphonic band, wind ensemble, and symphonic orchestra. I was also part of two prestigious local youth ...
