I am currently pursuing a career in opera, competing & auditioning all over, and picking up gigs wherever I can! I was recently featured in a fundraiser in Los Altos Hills singing bel canto and romantic operatic selections!

I practice arias between teaching hip hop, pop, rock, or Broadway lessons. =) l I also work a part time job, but my main passion is music-- I spend most free moments singing, teaching, listening, or thinking about singing and teaching!

After obtaining a BA from UCSD and an MM from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, I have studied and trained in classical vocal technique. Focusing on physical alignment, efficiency, and movement (Alexander Technique) we will combine a focus on proper breathing and phonation to create the best results. Singing is really a full body experience!

Although my true passion lies with classical and operatic repertoire, I also enjoy singing Musical Theater, Classical Art Song, Jazz, Folk, and even Pop styles.

I am a classically-trained opera singer. I have a Bachelors and Masters in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy (teaching), and have sung professionally in the U.S. and Europe. I have sung Opera, Operetta, Musical Theater and Concerts, as well as choral and cantorial singing. I have been a finalist and winner of vocal competitions in both the United States and Europe.
I have been teaching voice since 1980, and have worked with all ages of students. I have also directed and designed for musical theater and opera. Because I love singing, I want to bring that to my students as well, whatever kind of music they want to sing.

Susan has been a children's and adult theater and music teacher in the Bay Area for the past 20 years. She has had extensive training in singing, acting, improvisation, music, dance, directing and writing.  She has a BA in Theater Arts and attended "The American Academy of Dramatic Arts" in New York. Susan has been a leading show-singer, dancer, actress in New York, Minnesota and San Francisco and the Peninsula. She is also a professional  voice-over commercial artist and has been in many commercials and documentaries nationally. She is a member of SAG and AFTRA talent unions and has won many  awards for her talents. She has produced and directed several children's stage productions throughout her prestigious career.

Branden is a highly successful graduate in music with a concentration in composition and jazz performance, completing his degree in only three years. He is a passionate performer as well as a dedicated teacher. He was awarded Cum laude for his great academic achievement. Branden is an accomplished songwriter, composer, musician, and teacher. Originally born in Chicago, Branden is now based in San Jose area, playing random events throughout the South Bay.

Branden has been hired to play local gigs as well as a contract to tour with a jazz band. His experience in teaching guitar for the last three years has ranged from teaching elementary school classes to private lessons. He has shared the stage with Steve Tavlione and Scott Henderson.

I have been playing with classical ensembles and rock bands since 2001. Even though I started on classical trombone and rock guitar, I have come to expand my repertoire to a variety of instruments and genres. During my time in college I performed with the University choir, orchestra, and band. I also have organized, composed and arranged for, and performed with a variety of bands in my home state of New Mexico, as well as Japan and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Since 2006 I have been an active teacher. This profession has taken me everywhere from working with classical guitar classes in New Mexico high schools to Elementary students in Japan to a variety of private students of various musical instruments and genres everywhere I've been. I began my musical journey began when I picked up one of my grandfather's mandolins at the age of three. Soon after, I discovered that my grandfather had a guitar in his garage. I felt naturally drawn to the guitar; as though my hands were meant to play. I taught myself until the age of twelve, when I inquired about formal lessons with a guitar teacher from my church by the name of James Garcia. I have played with a number of groups throughout the bay area, including legendary saxophonist Bob Mintzer. I hold a degree in music and have studied with teachers such as James Garcia, Rich Hawthorne, Mike McKenna, Doctor Paul Setziol, and Ron Dunn. My goal is to ensure that each student leaves every lesson a better guitar player. My mother tells me I was reading music before I was reading words. One of my earliest memories is singing with my church children's choir; I must have been about four. I began piano lessons when I was six and in fourth grade took up the clarinet. In sixth grade I really wanted to sit next to my best friend in band class, who happened to play the oboe. So I made the switch and it stuck!

Most parents want their kids to grow up to be doctors. Mine saw my passion for music and so encouraged me to go to music school. I rebelled, naturally, thinking I would get my degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (with a double-major in Music to appease my folks). After it became painfully clear to me that music was really my strong point, I decided to pursue it as a career. I received my Bachelor's degree in oboe performance at the University of California, Santa Cruz and continued on to receive a Master's in choral and orchestral conducting.
