Hey everyone, my name is Greg. Some of you may know me as the lead guitar player from the metal band Allegaeon. What most of your don't know is I love teaching!! Here's a little bit more about myself:

I graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, with a Bachelors degree in classical guitar performance. I have a passion for a wide range of music including fingerstyle acoustic, classical, jazz, heavy metal and funk. I'm currently in the internationally known metal band Allegaeon, on Metal Blade records. I've been called accomplished composer, some songs of which have been released on “Fragments of Form and Function” (2010), a record some critics have hailed as one of the best metal records of 2010, and one inews called "one of the greatest debut albums of all time". Travis C., a Classical Guitarist from the small town of Vail, Colorado recently graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor’s in Music Performance, and is returning to Denver to pursue his Masters of Music in the fall of 2010. His artistry and stage presence was well noted in his auditions at the University of Southern California, University of Denver, and the New England Conservatory of music, where he received the highest of praise from top performers and university professors such as Elliot Fisk, William Kannengeiser, and Ricardo Iznaola, and was awarded Scholarships grants in all three prestigious universities.

Music became my life when I found a dusty guitar in the storage room at age 12. I owe a lot of really cool experiences to the guitar and so many of them center around learning. Teaching is fun and rewarding, but it is also my way of thanking the great teachers I've had.

After seeing his first rock concert at age 14, Nick knew music had to be in his future. He picked up a friend’s guitar the next day for the first time, and after only three years applied for and received a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Nick has been performing in rock bands from high school and throughout college. He also has 4+ years of experience teaching students ranging from age 3 to 60+, and teaches guitar, vocals, and bass. Nick specializes in styles such as rock, blues, pop, classical, and flamenco.

Teaching has always been a great passion of mine. I love watching my students grow as musicians. I have studied with over 20 world class professors and have lots of knowledge to share.

My philosophy as a teacher is to bring out the unique artist in every student. Everyone learns differently, and everyone offers something very special as a musician. I will help my students by bringing out their strong points and tackling their weaknesses...

I've been playing piano since I was 6 yrs. old, and guitar and organ since I was 13. I've been able to use music in so many ways, and that is the opportunity I want for my students. From singing in school and church choirs, to accompanying and directing them, I've had a lot of enjoyable experiences. I've had the fun of performing solo and with bands, and have been teaching music for about 25 yrs, both privately and in the schools. My BA is in music education and my Masters is in individual performance. I've taught K-Jr College music classes in general music, chorus, piano, guitar, and theory. I think my favorite form of teaching is still one-on-one lessons. Working with one student allows me to adjust my teaching to their particular learning style and needs.
