I'm a singer / songwriter and I moved to Brooklyn, NY in 2006. I am a Music Educator, and currently hold three NYS teaching certifications. I attained my Bachelors Degree from University of Miami where I majored in Vocal Jazz Performance and minored in Jazz Piano. I received my first Masters Degree from Brooklyn College where I majored in General Education and Special Education. I achieved my second Masters Degree from Columbia University where I majored in Music Education. I currently teach at an elementary school in Brooklyn, although I have experience teaching vocal students of all age groups. I made my Broadway debut with the original cast of Disney & Cameron Mackintosh’s hit musical Mary Poppins and became Broadway's second Mary, flying over the heads and into the hearts of Broadway audiences for over 100 performances.  I left that production to join the original cast of the highly acclaimed Broadway revival of Ragtime.  

I continue to cross the country representing Walt Disney Productions in national concert appearances. I have also has appeared on The Today Show, The View, the 2007 Tony Awards Show, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Dominic M., America’s Tenor, has been singing in one form or another since the age of four. As a young man, Dominic began honing his skills of singing and acting through Community Theater. His voice and career were forever changed when vocal coach and mentor, Suzanne Ferris-Hammer introduced him to the great voice of Mario Lanza. From the moment Dominic heard the voice of Mario Lanza, he began to fashion his own voice in that image.

Dominic continued to expand his career by developing his own show, which includes the songs of Mario Lanza in their original keys. These shows were held in some of the finest NYC Cabarets such as Don’t Tell Mama, Duplex Café, Danny’s Skylight Café, Café 44, and Eighty Eights. Having grown up in a musical household (my father owned a guitar shop on Long Island, my mother sang all over in soul/motown/classic rock outfits), it was impossible not to start speaking the same language. After spending 5 years on trombone and a few years of piano lessons, developing my love for music as well as the knowledge of how to communicate with others through it, I found my home as a bass player as early as 5th grade. I grew up mainly performing musical theater, but also sang with the Washington Opera and with the Choral Arts Society of Washington at Carnegie Hall, and sang the National Anthem for the Orioles and Washington Nationals Baseball teams, amongst other experiences. As a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and New School University in New York City, I've performed in national tours and regional theatres in AZ, IN, OH, NY, NJ, TX, SC, and VA. Workshops and readings in NYC have given me different tools that are useful in today's quickly changing artistic world. My violin and I have also traveled the world with performances in France as well as touring the United States.

I have performed at multiple venues in New York City, including Carnegie Hall and Off-Broadway. I studied opera performance and musical theater at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ and acting at Primary Stages. Originally from Miami, Florida, born to Cuban parents, I first attended the University if Pennsylvania, where I received a degree in marketing and communications from The Wharton School, with a minor in theater arts. Upon graduation, I moved to Los Angeles and trained at the Tony-award winning South Coast Repertory. I was subsequently fortunate enough to attend the Juilliard School Drama Division, where I trained for 4 years in the following subjects: scene study, improv, physical comedy/clown, movement, singing, voice and speech. Some of my favorite productions while at Juilliard have been: Measure for Measure, Henry V, The Cripple of Inishmaan, Williams in Transit, Trust, and Balm in Gilead. In addition, I have also taught drama in several cities in the country and abroad, including New Orleans, Salt Lake City, Orlando, and even Antigua, Guatemala.
