Chris started taking drum lessons at the age of eight and hasn't stopped drumming since. From grade school until high school graduation he took drumset lessons from Mark Logsdon, a widely respected teacher, studio and touring artist. While attending college at Eastern Michigan University, Chris studied in the studio of John Dorsey. While his main focus is drumset and percussion, Chris is also extremely knowledgeable regarding music theory and composition, and has spent time playing piano, ukulele, and other instruments as well. Chris has spent extensive time gigging in jazz clubs, big bands, combos, and musical theater orchestra pits. He has also studied classical percussion extensively and has performed with many ensembles. He loves teaching, and has taught many drumlines, marching band pits, percussion ensembles, as well as numerous individual drumset and classical percussion students.

I began playing piano 18 years ago when my parents finally gave in to my pleading to take lessons. I had several piano teachers throughout my childhood who all varied in their styles and techniques, but all used a relaxed, student driven approach, which is how I like to conduct my lessons. In high school, I began working as a rehearsal pianist for the Grand Rapids Ballet Company and continued to play for them for four years. I attended Aquinas College where piano and clarinet were my major instruments. I transferred to Western Michigan University to join their music therapy program and continued my studies in clarinet. Post college graduation I have held several accompanist positions and have performed in a number of four and eight piano concerts. I love playing piano and want to share that joy with others!

I am guitar instructor experienced in teaching students of any age, beginner to intermediate. I studied music at Lansing Community College and teach classes or one on one. I am familiar with many styles of music and usually teach students interested in anything from pop to heavy metal.

My name is Daniel B., I have been teaching students for many years. I have a masters degree in piano pedagogy from Michigan State University. Not only do I just play classical music, but I also play many other genres, and play for many musicals, as well as dueling piano shows. I can play by ear, or by sight, whichever is required for the gigs I pursue.

I began giving piano lessons when I was sixteen and have loved it ever since! I started taking lessons from my grandmother at a young age, and went on to study music education at Illinois State University, where I earned a BA in Music and German Education. I have taught students of all ages, and firmly believe that anyone can learn to play the piano, and have fun doing it!

I am based in Central/Western Michigan and have been teaching drums and percussion since 1993 in the areas of Concert, Marching, and Drumset. I began playing in middle school and have gone on to study music formally at Kellogg Community College and with many professional musicians. I have played professionally with many local bands in many styles (rock, jazz, big band, pop, punk, metal, musical theater). My teaching experience combined with my formal training and professional experiences will help you achieve your musical goals and will create a unique and fun environment for learning about drumming and how it works in different settings.

Chun-Shu started her musical career at age 5. In junior high and high school, she played piano in concert orchestra. During this time, she also started violin and flute. In college she continued her studies in music by taking various piano and music theory classes. She also started to teach piano for a variety of age groups.

Mark is a versatile drummer. He is a graduate (B.M.) from the Berklee College of Music. Mark has performed live with many national acts such as: Howard Jones, Gordon Lightfoot, Mitch Ryder, Earl Klugh, Leo Sayer, KC & the sunshine band and Tony Orlando. He has recorded with David Foster, George Clinton, Brea Starr and What It IS and Justine Blazer.
He has also been an in demand drummer locally, both live and in studio..
He is also teaching a large roster of students, clinics and master classes at such institutions as the Power Chord Academy(Chicago), Avanti Music Academy (Toronto), Michigan's Interlochen Arts Camp, and DePaul University's school of music.
