Nate C. Oviedo, FL

About Nate

I've been teaching private lessons for over a decade now. First I taught lessons as a self-employed college student, and then my during graduate studies I worked through a music academy in Dallas. I've been playing piano for over 20 years and guitar and drums for 15. I've been in various bands, personally recorded several albums of my own compositions, and have taught students from ages 7-17 consistently. I teach part time as a high school teacher in the area and I enjoy helping young people learn, whether it's guitar, piano, drums, or even psychology *** Lesson Details *** I'm very laid back when it comes to lessons, but I do expect students to spend at least 90 minutes weekly practicing so our lessons will be productive. I generally use either Alfred or Suzuki for piano lessons, and

The helpout with Nate was great! He explained complex time signatures and how to tap them out, which I've had great struggles with. Thank you Nate!

This same student, John, has 2 albums of his own, and several students are signed by recording labels and touring. In such a short amount of time, I have learned a tremendous amount from my instructor. She is very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. I am sorry that I am not able to continue at this time due to finances. However, I would definitely sign up with her again if granted the opportunity. There's so much more to learn and already I am able to apply some of the techniques she has taught me.

When I first began my singing journey with Jessica about two months ago I was insecure about my voice but I knew that singing was something that made me feel good inside. Jessica gave me confidence and assessed my strengths and weaknesses. Each session she continuously analyzes my abilities and range in my voice. She clearly explains the purpose of the exercises that we do so that I can see a bigger picture which always gives me more inspiration to never give up and believe in myself and my abilities as an aspiring artist. She took time to get to know me personally and understand my goals. She is fun and her energy is beautiful. She took interest in me as a writer and during our sessions we also explore my songs and what I could do with them. So overall I rated her 5 stars because she truly deserves it! Not only will I continue with her but I will also be privileged to have her coach my son who loves music/instruments. Thank you Jessica for having me :)
