Kris has been a private vocal, flute and piano instructor since 1984, and has been teaching in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1994. Her students have gone on to perform in the Los Angeles Opera Company, and in Regional Theatre and National Touring Companies for Hairspray, The King And I, The Music Man, Jekyll and Hyde, A Little Night Music, Fiddler On the Roof, My Fair Lady, Edges, Cats, and many other great musicals. She has been an Individual Voice Instructor at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles since the Fall semester of 2004, and also teaches at a private studio in West Hollywood. I'm a pop/rock singer from New Jersey with a B.A. in Music Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I majored in voice where I had to sing classical music (!) and I minored in piano. After I graduated, I went on tour with a Broadway review and shortly after that, recorded my first hard rock album. Right now, I have my own band where I sing, play keyboards and Latin percussion. Award-winning guitarist Chris S. hails from Winnipeg, Canada. Coming from a musical family, Chris started playing music at an early age. His first professional band was playing old time fiddle music with his dad, Albin, an accomplished violinist.

Chris began studying guitar at The Royal Conservatory Of Music in Toronto where he completed Grade 10 Classical Guitar. He followed this accomplishment by winning the Manitoba Music Competition for Classical Guitar, Level 11. In 1999, Chris won Fender Guitar Warz. In the year 2000, he won the same competition in which he played alongside Jeff Healy, one of Canada’s premier blues and jazz musicians. Originally from Wisconsin, I was a music student at UW LaCrosse before coming to LA to attend Musician's Institute in Hollywood,(GIT) where I graduated with honors and was awarded a USA Custom Ibanez guitar. I remained in LA working in numerous bands spanning a wide variety of musical styles including blues, rock, country, surf, and even Persian music! I graduated with honors from The Percussion Institute Of Technology (P.I.T.) at Musicians Institute in 1988. Since then I have recorded and toured around the world with such artists as, Gary Allan, Delaney Bramlett, Greg London and the Rich Harper Band to name a few. I bring a high level of experience to my students with a focus on both performance and learning to read drum music and charts. I believe on keeping music fun and tailor my lessons to accomodate exactly what each student is trying to achieve.

Hi there, I have been a professional musician for over 30 years. Music is all I have ever done with my career, except for a short stint as a preschool teacher. I am currently a working musician and recording engineer. I run a private recording studio in the San Fernando Valley, and gig with multiple bands: Ie. The Music Connection & 5th Avenue Entertainment. I am happily married with three children, and I occasionally assist my children's music teacher in middle school with their advanced band summer program. I have been playing various hand percussion (doumbek, djembe, cajon, conga, frame drum, daf, zills, and the occasional random passerby) for more than ten years. I have been teaching for more than five years, in one on one lessons, as well as in classroom settings and group workshops. I have taught privately for over 25 years in the San Fernando Valley, along with Pasadena and Simi Valley areas. During college I performed in several operas including The Magic Flute and Hansel and Gretal with the Burbank Symphony Orchestra.
