*** Lesson Details ***
If you are interested in improving your singing as a soloist in either popular or classical music, just looking to improve your hymn singing, or a complete beginner, I can help you. I can also coach you in a musical performance or help you to improve your speaking voice. I teach with enthusiasm and always find that encouragement and constructive criticism works best. A large part of a successful performance is confidence. I have found real joy in singing and in music and I like to share that through performing and teaching.

When we begin, I find it important to get to know each other and to spend some time talking about why you chose to study and what you hope to learn. Then we can vocalize and get a since of your voice. I’d also like you to bring a song you can sing for me. If you have a recording of the accompaniment, that would be preferable. I will provide a CD player and will use a piano or a keyboard to work with you. I stress the importance of practice in strengthening a person’s voice.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Electronic keyboard

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in breath support, diction, easy production and beautiful tone.

Subjects Taught

Bass Guitar, Drum, Guitar, Music Performance, Music Recording, Singing, Songwriting

About Me

I teach guitar, drums and vocals to an array of students ranging from 10 to 60. Not only do I teach but I also write songs for certain students who have a desire to perform their own music as well as learning and honing their craft on their instrument. I am currently helping a vocal student of mine write some songs after scales and warm-ups and am working with one of my top guitar students tomorrow on different scale techniques. I am also working with more and more students on songwriting and showing them different chords and ways to go about writing a song. I am currently getting two of my students ready for talent shows and I am working on a drum video with one of my drum students (of course). I would love to get started with you as soon as possible and we will get you where you want to be musically. I find that if a student has a particular song or a rhythm pattern they want to learn they learn more quickly. They're learning and having fun at the same time. We will find what you want to learn and we will learn it. Furthermore, it's your choice if you would rather come to my place as a lot of my students do or have me come to your place as a lot of them do. It matters not. I look forward to speaking with you! Have a great day! ps...oh be sure to check out my sample MP3s in the videos section for some examples of my work and work with other students. Cheers!
