Christina D. Brentwood, NY

About Christina

I am a classical singer and pianist from Wisconsin! I started playing music at the age of three on the piano and began voice lessons at 15. While in graduate school in Las Vegas, I started teaching both voice and piano lessons and found how much I loved imparting my knowledge to others and watching them make progress. I have performed leading roles in Operas and soloed in orchestral concerts and recitals. I mainly perform opera/classical but love musical theatre as well. My performing experience has taught me a lot which I am eager to pass on to my students! I have been teaching with Takelessons since my move to NYC in 2011. *** Lesson Details *** As a teacher, I try to create a lesson environment that is relaxed and open but still efficient. The Best Drum Teacher

Jason is a fantastic drum teacher. I would highly recommend his services. Jason is a professional, dedicated, great personality and caring person. He is the type of person after meeting him we felt like we have known him for years. He taught my son not just to play the drums but also to be a performer. My son would always come home excited after lessons. Jason makes it fun for my son to learn. Within a few months my son played at our school talent show and he gave the performance of his life! The drums helped build up my sons self- esteem. Jason offers a private drum lesson at an affordable price. We are extremely happy and would definitely recommend him to everyone.

Opera Voice · In studio
From mother of a private student:

Robert is an excellent vocal coach, working with my son in classical/opera voice & preparation for college auditions. Robert is a dynamic, enthusiastic teacher who understands the foundations & process of voice development, enjoys sharing that knowledge & is an enormously talented singer in his own right. It's a delight each week to listen to my son's lessons from the next room! I highly recommend Robert for teaching, performance & any voice related service.

Singing
Fine teacher, polished performer, talented singer

Robert Mellon was my student at the Crane School of Music of SUNY Potsdam for four years. Not only was he one of my most talented voices during my time there on faculty, but he had tremendous acting talent and skills, especially comedic timing, and he always had a strong work ethic. After winning many awards and scholarships, he went on to Manhattan School of Music where he continued to excel as a singer/actor. I can recommend him highly as a polished performer with a gorgeous instrument, and I am sure that he has developed into a fine teacher. Music Performance
You'll get everything!

I have seen and heard Robert Mellon perform in all kinds of venues. I sat beside him as he coached students for auditions, and worked with him in rehearsals. Because he was one of the most serious students and mesmerizing performers I ever encountered during my tenure at The Crane School of Music, he is the only student I considered composing a work for. I got to know Bobby a little but as we toured “Sing!” around upstate New York with the Crane Symphony Orchestra. Not only is he an extraordinary singer, actor and teacher, he is a terrific human being as well.

Robert Mellon is an excellent teacher, performer and coach.
