Kimberly M. has received a Bachelor’s in Music from Winston-Salem State University, her concentration vocal performance and minor piano. Kimberly is now pursing her Master’s in Education at Jones International University. Kimberly has been teaching piano and voice for 8 years. Kimberly also served in the music department at New Life Christian Fellowship for 8 years as the voice and piano teacher, choir director, pianist, and praise and worship leader. Which lead her to the position of Musical Director/Minister of Music at New Life Christian Fellowship Church for 4 years. Kimberly has traveled to several churches giving guidance and helping to build their music departments. She has also worked as a teacher in Guilford county schools for six years. Since the age of 12, I have been fascinated with music. It is a ongoing passion that has provided me a lifetime of enjoyment and satisfaction. Let me share my enthusiasm with you through custom-designed guitar lessons in the Winston-Salem area that focus on the things YOU love about music.

I am a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston. My major was Music Production and Engineering, so I understand both the technical and the musical side of the business. My main playing style has always been rock, but I can teach you the basics of almost any style, including country, blues and jazz.

In Los Angeles, I played with singer/songwriter Beth Thornley for many years, among others. Beth is an award-winning artist who has placed numerous songs in major films and TV shows. As a recording engineer, I also worked on hundreds of films, records, and music videos. I even spent two years in the studio with Michael Jackson!

Born and raised in Rockland County, New York, I have spent the last 10+ years developing an expansive set of musical skills. I am classically trained in guitar and composition, with a Bachelor's of Arts in Music from Hartwick College. At Hartwick, I received several awards for musical achievements, performed at many special events, and participated in recitals. I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree at UNC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

As a guitarist, I have a very diverse background which I brings to every lesson. Prior to beginning my classical training I took lesson in Blues and Rock, and during college I played in a metal band called Siberian Death March. I feel that the diversity of my background makes me uniquely qualified to gear a student's curriculum towards the things the student WANTS to learn, so that the student's musical experience encompasses much more than just "the basics."

Both my mom and dad were musicians and taught private lessons at home, so I grew up wanting to be a part of the music making. Now I am a university music educator who performs frequently as a soloist and collaborative pianist. I hold piano performance degrees from Carnegie Mellon and Yale. In addition, I've studied chamber music at the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau (France) and vocal accompanying at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. I perform as a church musician, choral accompanist, and recital pianist in traditional and more modern styles. I'm active as a collaborative artist in competitions, auditions, and recordings. In the past three years I've been studying ballroom dancing for fun and as an extension of my interest in experiencing music from the standpoint of total body movement. It's been a game-changer for sure!

Pianist and singer Phillip F. started learning to play the piano at age 6. Growing up he competed and placed highly in many competitions including playing with the Symphony Orchestra in his home town of Spartanburg, SC after winning it's concerto competition at the age of 17. In college he took piano from Dr. Charles Fugo at the University of South Carolina and also started taking voice lessons from Tonya Currier and Walter Cuttino. While still in college he worked with The South Carolina Opera company for a season as a member of the ensemble and as Chorus Master.
Since college, he has worked with different theater and opera companies as a lead actor and as a musician.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Classical Guitar from Brevard College. Since 1999, I have been playing a variety of styles of guitar including Jazz, Classical, Blues, and Rock. In addition to continuing my studies in guitar, I play in multiple bands and also spend time in my home recording studio. Following my audio engineering experience with Charles Holloman Productions of Charlotte, NC, I am able to complement his classical training with a modern take on music in the professional world.

I always go out of my way to make a student more comfortable during a lesson and my main goal in teaching is to have fun.
