We met up with Gerson at Murphy's Music in Irving for our drum lessons. Gerson is as he describes himself, "very laid back and easy going". I would add that he was always professional and knows when to challenge and help his student grow.
He will make you feel at ease and meet you at whatever level you are at.
You can tell he has a great passion for music and why he makes it his chosen profession. We found him to be very reliable and yet flexible should schedules change.

excellent with children

She has been teaching my 7 year old son for about two years, and the 4 year old for half a year. She has been absolutely fantastic with them, kind and engaging, while taking teaching and progress seriously. She also keeps entertaining magazines to engage the child waiting for the other.
My sons both love piano, and enjoy her lessons, always go there with enthusiasm. They have made a wonderful progress and to the delight of the family the boys like to demonstrate what they have learned.

Highly recommended...

My now 6 yr old son has been taking lessons with Elizabeth for just short over a year now. I am pleased to say that I am very happy with his progress. He's a very talkative and hyper child that can get easily distracted but she seems to be able to keep him entertained and interested in the lesson. I look forward to continuing lessons with her and will highly recommend her.

A teacher that inspires

My grandson has been with Elizabeth for about a year and he has made great progress. He looks forward to attending piano lessons and and showing her what he has learned and practiced during the week. She is a great motivator and makes him feel that he is really accomplishing a lot. I am very glad that we found Elizabeth for his piano teacher because she has given him a desire to be good at playing the piano. She also allows us to sit and enjoy listening to our grandson play.

Greg D. Carrollton, TX

About Greg

Greg has been playing drums since he received his first drum kit at the age of 8. His parents helped Greg nourish his abilities by enrolling him in private lessons and starting him in the school band program (which I see has an important aspect to learning, but not necessary). During his junior and high school years, Greg participated in concert bands, youth orchestra, marching band, and played in a variety of high school musicals. His time spent with these ensembles enabled him to travel overseas to London and all over the United States performing in festivals, parades, and competitions. After high school, Greg attended the acclaimed University of North Texas in Denton, Texas where he received his Bachelor of Music in 2002. His studies enabled him to learn history, arranging, ...

Professional, fun, well-worth-it

Colton has provided excellent Tuba lessons for my 6th grader playing music for the first time. He is responsive to student needs and moves at a just right pace. He is friendly and fun. He addresses what my son is needing to practice for school and then takes it to the next level. He covers not only the skills for playing the tuba but also etiquette of instrument care, being in an ensemble, and music theory. He's easy to schedule with. Highly recommended.

Expect great things with Colton

Colton is passionate about music and you can see that right away after 5 minutes of talking to him. He is incredibly talented and my emotions during the lesson range from intimidation, respect, to excitement and motivation. Colton should be found teaching at a university sharing coffee with tweed covered professors leading hoards of students to musical enlightenment. His excitement for music is contagious and I leave the lesson feeling recharged for my practices and ready to take on new projects. He has a way of demanding the best of you and having a good time altogether without you even noticing.
