Certified Teacher Hiring Process

You can often find TakeLessons instructors playing in their cities, performing with famous musicians and teaching in some of the best music schools in the U.S. In order to find the best prospects, we scour the country and then we put them through a rigorous hiring process, which includes:

  • A completed application, which includes educational history, teaching experience and audio and video samples.
  • A thorough interview with our professional recruiting specialists.
  • Personal and professional reference checks.
  • Annual criminal background checks

    Criminal Background Check

    In order to ensure the safety of our students, all teachers undergo a thorough criminal background check, which includes: Social Security number trace, multi-state criminal search and a nationwide sex offender registry search.
