Bachelor of Music, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, major in Piano Performance. Taught basic musicianship course as well as private piano lessons at the Conservatory while still a student there. Performed in Florida West Coast Symphony on Double Bass. Double Bass & solfege study with 30-yr. member of Boston Symphony, Gaston Dufresne. In lessons I try to focus on developing fundamental musicianship, so the student can apply his abilities to whatever style of music he wishes.

I've been teaching professionally for over ten years and have taught over 200 students of all ages and backgrounds how to play. I've played mostly in rock bands but have also done Classical, Jazz, and Country projects. I play a wide selection of styles including Rock, Pop, Country, Ragtime, Folk, Blues, Bluegrass, Metal, Church, Renaissance, Punk, and Funk/Soul. (Everything from Bach to Rock to Bachrach). I graduated from the University of Maryland.

Nicole began her musical journey in Long Island, New York when she began piano lessons at age five. While receiving training on piano, she joined her elementary school orchestra in the 3rd grade and quickly soared with violin. During this period, Nicole began learning music theory and the art of reading music. As a fourth grader, Nicole would go on to conduct and tune every instrument in her orchestra during rehearsal. She always competed and won many NYSMA competitions for violin while attending music seminars and workshops. It was then that her teacher realized she had a gift. Nicole continued with piano lessons and began teaching herself guitar. Later, after college, she bought herself a drum set and began to teach herself drums.

I'm Rick and I have been playing guitar for a couple of decades. I specialize in all acoustic styles, including artists like James Taylor, Paul Simon and other "folk rockers". Whether you just want to play some of your favorites, or learn to accompany yourself as you sing, I'm your guy. I have been playing music since I was 9 years old. I studied piano with Robin Kaplan, Mark Evans, Lee Shaw, and Dr. Gary Bush. In 2004 I completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Composition and Production from the Purchase Conservatory at Purchase College in West Chester, NY. Recently I completed a very successful tour as pianist for the United States Marine Corps Band, based in Cherry Point, NC. My performance experience includes jazz, R&B, reggae, classical, rock, funk, country, and DCI style marching band. I started playing guitar at the age of 12, teaching myself before I moved on to taking professional lessons. At 15, I began performing in front of live audiences with a rock band, and loved every minute of it. Ever since then, I have been performing and recording, as well as writing/arranging music. I was privately tutored extensively in Music Theory, Harmony, Arrangement and Composition. I have played many stages over the years in various cover and original bands, from acoustic to rock, to blues, metal and southern rock. I feel that I can offer much from the viewpoint of a working musician in addition to your basic instrument lesson; from instrument set-up tips, to getting your own sound, to how to effectively use effects and performance tips. Jim has been involved in all facets of the music business for 20 years. Jim's career started in 1991 with Sony/BMG where he was a product development executive for all SONY/BMG's alternative roster. Jim worked with the musical acts TOOL, DAVE MATHEWS, Mathew Sweet, Outkast, and many others. Jim decided to move to New York City in early 1996 to serve as National Director of Sales for Hybrid Sire Records working with artists ranging from Guster, Mike Errico, Art Garfunkel and Morcheeba. Upon leaving Hybrid Sire Jim was appointed V.P of Sales for Octone Records where he helped launch the the Grammy award winning band Maroon 5 and also Flyleaf. Soon after Octone, Jim did a brief stint as consult for Vh1 and also served as GM of Warcon records a punk rock label started by the founders of the Warped Tour. Recently Jim was hired to lead the A&R department of Redeye distribution where he signed the Grammy award winner Loudon Wainwright. Jim also co-managed the band Care Bears on Fire.
