Subjects Taught Piano, Violin, Music Performance
About Me
I have had a regular studio of violin and piano students in the Boston area since 2006. I began teaching in 2001 in Seattle, WA. I perform regularly as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player at the Longy School of Music, in the Freisinger Chamber Orchestra, the Dorchester Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra.
My primary focus in my teaching is to guide my students to becoming independent musicians, and to help them develop a thorough understanding of music. Lessons include learning about music theory, sight reading, performance skills and technique. I have a thorough understanding of pedagogy and a true passion for teaching students of all ages.
Education:
I've received both my Master's of Music degree with Emphasis in String Pedagogy and Undergraduate Diploma in Violin Performance from the Longy School of Music, studying with professors Janet Packer and Mark Lakirovich, and have received my Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Emerson...
