I am a graduate of Calvin College with a degree in education. My classroom teaching includes places in Nigeria, New Mexico and Michigan. I started teaching piano lessons in my home about 25 years ago. During the school year, I am a teacher's assistant in the 4th grade. Children are precious to me and every day they surprise me with their fun and wisdom. In the summer, I enjoy gardening. In the evenings, I like to knit and crochet. Also, reading is another of my hobbies. Music has always been an important part of my life. My mother was a piano teacher and I took lessons from the time I was in first grade all the way through college. Music can bring so much happiness to people's lives and that is why I love to help other people to be able to play the piano and enjoy all kinds of music.

I graduated from the Academy of the Performing Arts in Prague where I received the Master of Arts in Violin Performance and Literature degree (M.M.), which is the terminal performance degree offered in the Czech Republic. Before completing my studies at the Academy, I studied violin at the Prague Conservatory of Music.
As a violinist I have a wide list of competition and performance credits, including first prizes at the Kocian International Violin Competition in Ústí nad Orlicí and the Beethoven’s International Solo and Chamber Competitions in Hradec nad Moravicí, in the Czech Republic.
A frequent soloist with the leading orchestras in my native country and abroad, I have performed with the Prague Symphony Orchestra, the West-Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, the Moravian Philharmony, the Orquestra Sinfónica Simon Bolívar de Venezuela, and the Solisti di Praga Chamber Orchestra.

I was born and raised in west Michigan. I graduated from Grandville High School and then moved to Southern Alabama for college in 2005. I received my Bachelors in Music with an emphasis on Vocal Performance in the Spring of 2010.

I have always had a passion for singing since before I can remember. I co-wrote and produced music with my Uncle in Dallas, TX when I was in High School, and met with several record labels including; JIVE, RCA, Arista, etc.

I decided to take the classical music route after attending Interlochen Arts Camp in 2004. I studied opera and vocal performance at the University of South Alabama.

I was a part of the Mobile Opera Developing Artist Program for 4 years, where I performed in professional opera ensembles, concerts and special events.

I attended the Oberlin in Italy program in summer 2009, where I lived, studied, and performed in Arezzo, Italia.

I grew up in a musical home, with two music teaching parents. I have continued their love of music through my own teaching and performance for over 25 years. I currently am furthering my own music education, while performing in community bands and theater musicals on both clarinet and piano.

I like to leave each student with a positive feeling of accomplishment, and try very hard to gauge how much and when to challenge or to chill. Individual, custom lessons are my forte. I would love to be by your side, creating music and not just playing notes.

I am Aimee M., a driven mezzo-soprano pursuing my Bachelors in Choral Music Education and Vocal Performance at Western Michigan University. I have taught singing lessons for the past 5 years and have gained my experience mostly with the middle school to high school level. I do however, take students of all ages because I believe that there is no age limit to greatness. I am currently the choral director at Portage, Michigan, St. Michael Lutheran Church's Adult Choir and have been working with the group for the last year and a half. I enjoy working with singers of any skill level, novice to advanced, and feel that my expertise in singing will provide the tools and practices that a student would need to achieve their goals.
