Why should I use TakeLessons.com?

Students use us because they know they can quickly find an instructor suited to their personality, location, and price range. Instructors use the site to find students and establish exposure in their community that can help them book gigs, fill their teaching schedule, and network with their peers.

Is TakeLessons.com only available in the U.S.?

The local search directory of the site is only available in the USA, but we do have plans for expansion in the near future. So, stay tuned.

What does TakeLessons.com do with my information?

We take privacy very seriously, and we are very protective of your information. We do not sell, rent, share, trade or give away any of your personal information, unless required to by law. We are 100% spam free. We hate Spam as much as you do. Is TakeLessons.com a school?

Yes and no. On our site, you will find instructors that work for themselves and others that work for us. If an instructor works for us, we do a thorough background criminal check before we hire them.

How much does it cost to take lessons?

Each instructor's pricing is different based on the instructor's background and education. However, all of our instructors are excellent in their field of study. Over 70% have advanced degrees in their area of expertise.

Where are the lessons held?

Some instructors teach in your home, others teach at their studio. Please read the profiles to find the most suited instructor for you.

What do I do if you don't have a teacher in my area?

If we do not have an instructor available in your area, the best thing to do is check out our free online video section in order to get basic lessons or find an instructor that provides online lessons.

Can I send more than one teacher an inquiry email?

There is no limit to the number of requests you can make, but be aware that too many requests can trigger internal alerts and be cause for an account cancellation; therefore, it's very important that requests made are legitimate.
