About harp lessons

Learn how to play the harp! The harp is a beautiful instrument with roots as far back as Biblical times in Egypt and Mesopotania. When looking for a harp teacher, focus on selecting a teacher that has experience in the same musical style you are looking to play. A folk harp teacher will instruct different than a classical teacher. Your teachers should be able to recommend the best harp type for you. Pricing for monthly rentals for a harp are about $50-$100.

I am interested in continuing my harp lessons closer to home. I've had about 2 years of training on a pedal harp and already have some music background on the piano. I would like to learn more harp techniques, practice more harp music, and learn more special effects, etc. The times I have available for harp lessons would be Saturdays, preferably mornings, to early evenings. On Sundays, late afternoons to early evenings; otherwise, early evenings during the week except for Wednesdays. ...

My name is , I'm 22, and I'd really like to learn to play the harp.

I'm classically trained on the flute (been playing since I was 10, and enjoy playing folk music as well), and I also taught myself how to play piano when I was 14, so I can read bass clef (although not as easily as treble). I love the harp and your article inspired me---you're never too old to learn.

I am looking forward to hearing from you
