Pamela is a teacher.

Pamela was very patient with my young daughter. She taught her the beginning stages of reading music and her voice became clearer and louder because of the confidence she gained during her sessions. I would recommend Pamela as a singing instructor for any age but she was so patient and encouraging for my young daughter. We loved it.
Debra L. Ambler, PA

I'm an accredited singing teacher and vocal coach through Voiceworks (TM) with over 10 years experience as a professional singer and teacher. My students range from age 9 through adult. I help students to reach their goals for successful auditions and performances, to sing in choirs, or to simply "find their voice" and have greater confidence. I integrate simple music theory into lessons, and offer performance and recording opportunities for my students.

About Debra

I love teaching and providing a supportive and creative environment where my students have fun learning to make music. I work with students at their own pace to make their musical experience both enjoyable and educational. My students look forward to their lessons, and our time together each week passes by quickly!

I'm skilled in playing and teaching classical music as well as theater and pop repertoire for students of all ages. I enjoy working with young students who are beginners, and also with teens or adults who are ‚¬Ä¬úcoming back‚¬Ä¬Ě to piano, or learning for the first time. I've developed a Pop-Piano Method based on learning chord structure and music theory for playing by ‚¬Ä¬úear‚¬Ä¬Ě for students with 2-3 years of piano or other ...

I sought out Debra for help with my speaking voice and soon made, with her help, a surprising discovery - that I can actually sing! Somehow I spent a lifetime believing that I "couldn't carry a tune in a bucket", and made it a point always to sing SOLO - "so low nobody can hear you!"
Debbie set me straight - she taught me the mechanics of singing, and helped me realize I CAN carry a tune - without a bucket! With her cheerful patience and encouragement I feel like I have been given a gift - an ability to sing with confidence and joy, whether in the pew at Church, with the radio in the car, to my grandchildren¬Ä¦.now when I sing "unto the Lord" I no longer fear I am simply "making a joyful noise", and am so grateful to have this pleasure at a later stage in my life. I hope to find just the right choir to join to thoroughly enjoy this new-found gift¬Ä¦.Thank you, Debra, for being such a great teacher - it has been a delightful experience getting to know you and working with you!

Debra is a fantastic voice coach for my daughter! She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and patient. She teaches the basics and builds on those fundamental skills. As a result, not only has my daughter's singing voice improved--so has her stage presence, speaking voice and overall poise. I would highly recommend Debra as a singing teacher.

This is an excellent avenue for anyone who wants to improve their speaking voice.

The instructor was outstanding.......great personality. She was personable, professional, knew her subject area and made learning fun. I actually looked forward to meeting with her. In just a few sessions, I can see much awareness and improvement on my part. I am totally satisfied.

I have worked with a large range of musicians, from beginners to people who are actively pursuing a singing career. I advocate control and understanding what you are doing with your voice in the most healthy way that you can possibly do it. I also advocate helping to communicate on an emotional level with the people in the audience.

About David

Having graduated from Westminster Choir College, I have learned many techniques for helping students to understand their voices better. I have taken voice lessons myself since 2002, and still do take them. This gives me the opportunity to learn new and different techniques. As every student is different, there are many different techniques that can help the student to find their voice.
One style of teaching that I really feel is important when discussing the voice is the idea of just singing. Often times, as was my experience, when people hear voices they like they will mimic that sound. The problem with that is that the person will start singing with a voice that does not work with their body. That is usually my first goal if they have this particular issue. Many times ...

David is a fantastic voice teacher. From the first very lesson, he helped me feel comfortable as I started the the sometimes awkward process of finding my voice. When it comes to technique, he has that rare ability to translate complex ideas and mechanics into simple, easy-to-understand concepts that translate into fast improvement. I have been taking voice lessons with him for just over a year, and the progress I have made in that time is remarkable. Thanks to David, I have truly discovered my voice. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to discover or improve their singing voice. He's fantastic!!

So happy we found Dena!

My 9 yr old daughter loves her singing lessons with Dena! She loves to sing so much, I thought it would be a good idea to have her get lessons. She was nervous at first, but she really enjoys the lessons, and she's definitely improved under Dena's direction. Dena is warm and friendly, and yet professional at the same time. We're very pleased, and I would recommend her to anyone!

Has tons of patience

Dena has lots of patience and has helped my son overcome a lot of obstacles. She is very good with children of younger ages and understands age related challenges.
Sandra H. Philadelphia, PA

Lessons consist of learning a solid vocal technique, and learning various repertoire from broadway, pop, to classical. Also, performing skills will be incorporated, so that the singer feels comfortable acting the song as well. I strongly believe that singers must be actors, and that is what makes us different from instrumentalists. It is also a lot of fun! For children or adults who are willing, I also teach sight singing and spend some of the lessons time learning some basic reading skills.

My daughter is 14 years old and we needed some help with an acting role for her school musical. Sandra was wonderful, in a brief time she was able to help her understand that it is important to own the role. I feel as though my daughter came a long way. My daughter did get the role that she auditioned for in her High School play and she is only a freshman. Thanks very much Sandra!

I am a private student of Sandra’s and have been studying singing with her for two years. I decided to study with Sandra because I know that she has a lot of professional experience on stage. I am mainly interested in musical theater, and Sandra has helped me find suitable songs for my voice. She works on breathing and building a solid technique which one can rely on. She has also helped me to develop as an actor, so that I feel completely comfortable with performing. I would highly recommend her.

Sandra is my 5 year old daughter's singing/acting/piano instructor. We have been going to Sandra for the past 6 months and I am astounded at my daughter's progress! Sandra's level of patience and her ability to teach while making it fun has helped my daughter tremendously! She has more confidence and she is more controlled with her voice. She has also learned to express what she is singing about through facial expressions. Sandra's guidance has given my daughter an advantage in her endeavors. I would highly recommend Sandra to anyone!
