I believe that the well being of the student is the most important thing a teacher must be concerned about. I can provide professional instruction while still having fun in a very relaxed atmosphere.

I believe the bond between a student and a teacher should be comparable to a very close friend. Someone you can talk to comfortably and someone you can depend upon to help you succeed. Through personal experience I have seen a difference in learning between a strict cold teacher vs one that is kind, sociable and caring of the well being of the student., not just in matters having to do with the studies themselves but overall happiness as well.

My style of teaching is very laid back and relaxed. I would like to take it at a pace in which the student is comfortable with the material before moving forward. Reinforcing the basics before moving onto more advanced material.

I've been teach Guitar and Bass for about 2 years now. I've recently been tutoring music theory for college level students. I like getting to know my students as I teach them. Not just for the sake of being able to teach you better. Being comfortable just hanging out before, during and, after a lesson makes the learning experience all that much better. I have all my Music major (Classical Guitar) requirements finished and the information is still fresh in my brain. I play many different styles of music but I specialize in Rock or Metal.

Music is something that everyone can share and express themselves through, and i want to help everyone to find that avenue of expression! I studied drums at the Drummers Collective in New York City, where i studied several genres of music. I play everything from rock, jazz, soul, R&B, Caribbean, and Latin music. If a student is interested in a certain style of music i would be happy to dive into that further, or explore other genres that may peek interest. The difference between me and many other teachers is that i genuinely love teaching and watching my students grow as players and musicians.

I played on a toy piano when I was very young, learning a bit of sight reading from my Mother, while listening to classical, jazz, and rock music. When I was 12, I learned guitar and later took private piano lessons from a prominent Philadelphia instructor. After playing in a rock band in high school, I went to college and received my degree in Physics. During this time, I joined a choir, and sang and played guitar in a contemporary vocal group where I became the lead guitarist and vocal arranger, and later became the director. I also played guitar in my church, as well as in a small folk group, performing music of the Beatles, Bacharach, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and many others. I also played or sung in a number of weddings during my college days.

Upon graduation, I moved to the DC area to work in the engineering field, while simultaneously pursuing my music ambition. I studied classical guitar at American University with a student of the great Andres Segovia, and also...

I have been playing for about 35 years and teaching music and guitar for 25 years. I have a Bachelor of Music in Jazz and Classical guitar. I've taught at the University level and currently maintain a professional studio in Arlington, Virginia. I am very well versed in many different styles of music including, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical and Suzuki guitar. Students who decide to sign up with me, will have a lesson plan, a strategy for meeting their musical goals and will enjoy themselves in the process.

Bob W. received his Bachelors degree in Classical Guitar performance from Catholic University. An accomplished classical guitarist, teacher, and arranger, Bob performs regularly at public and private events, including weekly church services.

He is a regular guest artist for Afternoon Teas at the Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda MD, as well as Brookside Gardens annual "Garden of Lights" winter festival, and Sandy Spring Museum concert series. Hi my name is Aleksis, know by thousands of students as "Mr B." I'm 33, happily married with a one year old daughter and five year old son. I have been teaching music for over twenty years now. I have been performing locally and nationally since 1992, solo and with a band, at hundreds of venues across the country as a singer/songwriter guitarist and keyboardist. I am currently recording my fourth full length album, with several albums selling on iTunes. I own my an independent record label, working as an audio and video producer at my home studio and on the road recording live shows as well as with my students in their homes that are working towards a professional music career like mine.
