About Danielle

I have been taking the world by surprise since the age of 4. I began studying at Queens College at 6 years old and was a recital pianist by the age of 12. I was a consumer of music, from the Music Theory lessons on Saturdays, piano lessons on Thursdays and voice lessons on Saturday afternoons, my life was filled with music. It is to no one's surprise that I completed my first demo at the age of 13 and was performing for Queens Colleges audiences at 14. I went on the rank high in the NYSSMA series in both piano and voice. I also went on to study music in college and began touring with gospel troupes nationally. Since then I has done many workshops, Master Classes, tour dates, theatre shows etc. Too many to date. I am a sought after teacher for voice, piano and broadway singing. I train

About Anthony

My life revolves around music in all of its forms. I have studied piano since the age of 6 while singing ever since I knew how to make sound. Throughout my lifetime, I have been taught by some of the most influential teachers, and it is my goal to become one in your lifetime. I began participating in theater at an early age. Once In high school, I had my first job as a Drama Teacher at Saltworks Young Actors Studio where I taught Improvisation, Monologues and Musical Theater to students ages 6 through 16. I went to Point Park University where I received a BA in Musical Theater in 2006. Throughout College, I was also teaching voice and piano lessons. As an actor, I have enjoyed many successes. In 2007, I joined the NY Public Theater’s three night, 40th anniversary ...

Although I spend most of my time teaching Piano or Singing, Acting was my first love and something I've been doing the longest.
Piano and Singing are things that I wasn't necessarily the best at growing up and had to learn, but Acting was always a very strong suit for me.
Between high school and college - I have 8 years of formal training at full time acting conservatories. This doesn't include the countless classes I've taken before and since then. I've been the lead in a national tour, an independent film, 3 commercials, and countless regional productions across the country. I have a BFA in Musical Theater with a concentration in Directing.
Specific areas that I have been trained in include On Camera Work, Monologues, Movement, Commedia and Masks, Meisner, Classical, Scene Study, Improv, Playwriting and Directing.
I have experience writing and directing plays. I've taught classes in a group setting and privately. I also do a lot of college prep for high school seniors. I love ...

About Carole

I am an on camera, television, film, theater, voice over, actor and professional vocalist. I am new to Take Lessons but not new to coaching performers at every level! I have been performing for over 30 years and coaching actors since 2002. My focus is in helping actors prepare for auditions, performances and character analysis. I continue to perform and update myself on the best ways to utilize new media to help other actors build their careers. I am the one to come to when you are preparing for that special audition or presentation or even when you want to work through your choices. I have appeared in numerous commercials, television, theater and film projects and I am an award winning actor and jazz vocalist. Understanding your inner voice is your best asset! Eric G. New York, NY

I have been coaching and directing productions for over 20 years. I have a studio set up in my home to avoid the claustrophobic nature of a "closet" studio in midtown to coach and assist people with bettering their auditions and fleshing out songs and materials so nothing new is presented at an audition.

About Eric

I am a stage director, pianist and acting coach. I can prep nearly anyone to make an audition more successful and have sat through countless auditions for musical theatre and opera. I think everyone needs a second opinion, or third, or fourth on how their auditions look and sound and, most importantly, HONEST advice on what to do better.

Marlene R. Astoria, NY

I'm a working filmmaker who is making independent movies and web series. I will help you discover your authentic voice as a person and actor who can express themselves freely. I will help you use fear instead of being stopped by it and turn anxiety into excitement. I work very uniquely with each person depending on what their level is and how ready they are. I approach material from a very truthful human place and guide you to let YOU come through the character's voice.

About Marlene

I love teaching people to express themselves in the performing and written arts. I am great with beginners. I attended Ithaca College’s film program on a screenwriting scholarship. Since then, I've directed and choreographed over 50 music videos including 2Pac Shakur’s last, Amy Winehouse’s “F-Me Pumps,” as well as an award winning indie feature called THE BIG SHOT-CALLER. It was well received by the New York Times and critic Kam Williams gave it four stars. I was selected by FILMMAKER Magazine as one of their “Top 25 New Faces of Independent Film.” I have since written and directed three different comedy web series on YouTube entitled “My Parents Are Crazier Than Yours,” “Angry Gladys,” and “I Don’t Care About the Assholes with Dr. Rita Gatswani.” I am currently in the process ...

Marlene has been a remarkable teacher for me. I had never been involved in any type of Acting previously, but I always had a curiosity to try it out. I initially scheduled my online acting classes with Marlene to help give me confidence in expressing more of my natural self in my presentations, sales delivery, and daily conversations for my job. But I also went into these lessons with the goal of trying something exciting and somewhat daring, and who knows, maybe there is a role out there for me to try out in the future as I continue to improve my abilities and talents in acting. Marlene is very understanding and takes the time to learn about her students. From the very first minute I felt completely comfortable with her style of teaching. She challenges and encourages me throughout our lessons and I have already noticed significant improvements. She has opened me up to a new and adventurous path in how I can incorporate acting in my life and I am truly grateful for her help. I look forward to more lessons with Marlene and I highly recommend her.

Marlene is awesome! She is really passionate about the music and getting you to feel it! She was patient with me (thank God, because I'm a slow learner). After a lesson with her, you just want to go out and hit the club.

When I first started I was very uncertain in the hip hop style and was totally nervous. Marlene however was very encouraging right from the start and really acknowledged me wherever and whenever I had improved. Now, I find that I am very confident in my dancing and can actually break out some moves in clubs, which brings me a great deal of joy. Marlene also always makes the classes super entertaining. I find myself laughing quite often, which is one of the reasons I enjoy dancing with her so much.

Marlene is a wonderful teacher who truly loves dance and wants to see her students improve. I've recommended her classes to many of my friends. I want them to share in the same experience that I have.
