Chuck R. Glendora, CA

About Chuck

I pride myself in my ability to nurture the talents of children, adolescents, and adults alike, tailoring lessons to the individual needs of each student, regardless of age, skill or experience level. I strive to bring out each student's own natural musicality and self-expression with a positive and upbeat approach. I am a big believer in getting the basic mechanics of guitar playing down first. I teach students to play with solid discipline at first so they can develop the correct Technique. Only when the basic mechanics are in place do I move forward with theory, chords and playing songs. I teach all main music styles ranging form: Jazz, Funk, Blues,Heavy Metal and Rock.

Very impressed by Mrs. V.

I recently started taking lessons with Mrs. V and already feel like I'm progressing in my piano skills. Mrs. V exudes class and elegance, and you feel a sense of comfort and warmth upon meeting her. She is very knowledgeable in her craft, and the advice and tips she has given me during my lessons has really helped me with the pieces I'm currently learning. She's very patient and takes her time with you. She also really gets to know you as a person, which I find important.

I love that Mrs. V is also a composer and knows music theory. I have been struggling with theory for years, and she has been helping to educate me on theory during my lesson. She even assigns theory homework, which gives me that extra push to learn more. I am always encouraged to take notes during class as well. Mrs. V is just filled with information and it excites me to learn things I've never know before about piano technique, theory, and even the structure of a piano and how it works.

Mrs. V always encourages students to play in annual recitals, and I am looking forward to playing in the next one. My experience as a whole with Mrs. V has been great. I am very impressed with her thus far. I would recommend her to anyone who is serious about honing their piano skills.

I have been trying to come up with the perfect words to describe this teacher but I can't find anything I feel is good enough, other than the words wonderful and amazing. The way she teaches, and just her presence alone just blows me away, and I couldn't be more thankful to have met her and have the opportunity of her teaching me. If anyone is meant to be a teacher,it would be this person. She is so gifted.. Believe me when I say, if you have any doubt about choosing the right teacher, look no further because you just found her.

Amy has truly changed my life both as a performer and person. She helped me polish my vocal technique and singing methods, in addition to acting and audition coaching. She was very instrumental in helping me pick amazing audition songs and how to really give a memorable performance, even if it's just 16 bars at an open call! Before studying with Amy, I was a bit unfocused and rusty, now I am poised and confident in my singing abilities. Thank you Amy, you are an incredible and inspiring teacher!

I had been having difficulty with vocal confidence and Amy helped me with that immediately. From the first session, I learned things about my approach to singing that I could correct and put to use at the very next opportunity. I have now have a voice because of Amy!
She is a fantastic Teacher and I highly recommend her to students of all ages!
