I was born and raised in Montana and have a Bachelors of Music emphasis in Vocal Performance from the University of Montana. I have taught students ages 7-25 genres from classical to broadway to rock and everything in between. I have been in envolved in countless musical groups so I have learned from many instructors what the best methods for teaching are. I find teaching to be very rewarding for several reasons. It is very fulfilling to watch a student recognize their talent and become more and more excited to continue learning. It feels so good to know that I may have made even a small difference in someone’s musical development. Making a lasting impression on someone musically or in any other positive way is very satisfying.

I received my B.M., M.M., and D.M.A. in studio/jazz guitar from the University of Southern California. While at USC, I was the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate departmental award and the Order of the Areté award. Since 2010, I have performed well over 100 shows with a 5-piece swing band called the Hi-Fi Honeydrops, who recently recorded an EP to be released on vinyl in 2013. As a faculty member of the Bachelor Degree program at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, I teach private guitar lessons, sight reading, performance styles, and ear training. I also teach private guitar lessons at music studios in Torrance and Bellflower.

Stefani's musical talents were first observed at the age of 5, when she began private study of piano and music theory. She played the alto saxophone for a brief period of 4 years during junior high and early high school, but then moved on to join the school choir at age 16. This choice led to the unexpected discovery of a beautiful, powerful voice. Stefani earned a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre at the University of Tulsa, with special studies in jazz vocals, ear training, and theory. Her college career provided her with intense studies in the vocal styles of Musical Theatre, Classical, and Jazz. She performed in many musicals, plays, and recitals at TU, and during each summer, she worked as a cast member of Light Opera Oklahoma.
