I grew up playing guitar in the streets of Las Vegas and Los Angeles. I started playing guitar when I was only fifteen, and shredded by seventeen. I had to start from scratch. I was where you probably are right now. When I was young I could only wish there was someone who could mentor me in this art form. My singing journey began at the young age of 5ya and lead to becoming a member of the Choir both in Elementary and Junior High School. I attended Cypress College as a Music Major with a focus on Voice, and was also a lead member of the Jazz Choir. I began taking courses in Voice during my senior year of high school, which continued when I entered college. I also took several years of private lessons from Prof. Marcia Shippam at Cypress College as well as Elizabeth Sabine famous for working with many professional rock/pop singers. I have been a lead singer in rock bands since I was 14ya and am still doing so. I am currently in two bands; an alternative rock band Ghost Electric and a metal band Keeping Up With The Dead, the first being recently signed to a small indie label Wright Records. I am a vocalist, dancer, sound engineer, and educator living in Orange County, CA. I have been performing and practicing music since I was in the 4th grade. I was blessed to graduate from the famous Berklee College of Music. I gained so much knowledge during my time there and I continue to learn and grow each day. My absolute favorite thing to do is share any knowledge that I have with others who are willing and who desire to learn. I will do my best to help your understanding and skill level improve and continue to grow!

1. Your lesson will always be geared toward what YOU want to learn, and if it seems like we are working on something that doesn't match that, I will always take the time to make clear why what we are doing will have you be able to play what you want.
2. You already have every skill you need to be a great performer, and my job is just to steer the ship in the right direction to have that happen. All I am ever doing in a lesson is making sure that we are moving you in the ultimate direction that you want to be going musically.
3. I will do everything I know how to do to make sure that what I have learned that will benefit you becomes something you have mastered. If I could take the "computer chip" in my head and put it in yours, we would do that. Study with me and you will get the next best thing!

Formerly in the field of international studies and marketing as an active professional and a recipient of first place at Sonata/Sonatina Competition of CAPMT in 2004, Howon resumed her music studying in 2005 when she was accepted to the master program at USC, which led her to appear on numerous stages in Los Angeles and vicinity as a solo and collaborative pianist, including Zipper hall at Colburn School.
Her formal education in piano as a major started at the age of 16 when she entered Seoul Arts High School in Korea which was followed by studying at Seoul National University.
While she was building her career experience in international marketing when she immigrated to the US, she pursued her piano education under Dr. Heewon Kwon at Colburn School of Performing Arts. At USC, she studied with Antoinette Perry and received her Master degree in Music, Piano performance. Currently she teacheds in southern California as a member of MTAC.

Graduate of CSUF with a degree in Music Performance. Member of the Orange County Guitar Circle and founding member of the Orange County Guitar Orchestra.

I began learning percussion and guitar when I was eight years old, I picked up horn when I was fifteen, and double bass when I was sixteen. I have experience both in marching band/concert bands as well as rock/pop bands. I currently perform in the Orange Coast College Symphony Orchestra as a percussionist and in the Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps on the mellophone line. I am double majoring in Music Education and Music Composition, and can help you to learn any style you'd like to know on your instrument.

I also am an avid singer/songwriter, and spend a lot of my time playing video games such as Minecraft, League of Legends, and Skyrim. I like to surf and skateboard and I'm very laid back and easy-going.

I am a graduate of Chapman University with a bachelors of music in piano performance. I enjoy learning, performing, and teaching piano. I have experience teaching students of all ages and ability levels. I work with each student to make sure they become the pianist they aspire to be. Whether your goal is to learn your favorite pop song, to perform your favorite Beethoven or Chopin piece, or to be able to compose your own music, I can teach you!

I bring a dynamic and multifaceted perspective to the creative exploration of the percussive arts, with over 40 years of diverse musical experience which includes performing with Nigerian master drummer Francis Awe’s Talking Drum Ensemble, competing to top international honors with the Misty Isle Pipe Band, ensembles large and small covering music in a wide range of genres, as well as extended experience in solo accompaniment for modern dance and performance art. I have performed with renowned musicians such as Dave Holland, Albert Mangelsdorf, Bobby Bradford, Fred Katz, Lee Konitz, Don Thompson, Ralph Alessi, Vinny Golia, Karl Denson, Kei Akagi, among many others.

My name is Jason, and I'm a music/percussion/composition major at Cypress College. But lets try not to be so formal (that's what all the information below is for). In reality, I'm just an experienced drummer/percussionist who's looking to take on a few students to help and teach, and have some fun along the way. Not to say I can't be professional and formal when necessary, but that's not how I am all the time. In reality, I'm a rather laid back guy who loves teaching, drum set and other forms of percussion especially, and I'm looking for students who range from laid back, casual/ recreational players, who just want to get better so as to help express themselves throw their music, to more devoted, intensely involved players who seek training as a means to help advance themselves, and gain a professional status in their music and be as successful as they can possibly be, because, simply put, they love music, as well as everything in between.

I have been a drummer for 25 years. I have been playing, writing and teaching percussion professionally for 15 years now. I attended Valencia high school in Placentia, California and was immediately hired to teach drums there after graduating. I have also attended the Los Angeles Music Academy, studying under drum legends Ralph Humphrey and Joe Porcaro.

I have taught at over 15 different institutions ranging from middle school, high school, youth band and drum corps. I have also taught hundreds of private lessons. Other teachers of mine include: Tom Float, Mark Schulman, Phil Mortensen, Sherman Ferguson, Alan Waddington, Mike Packer, Mike Shapiro, Poncho Sanchez, Pete Sapadin and David Beyer.

I have played piano since I was young. I studied piano at CSU Long Beach where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a certificate in Music Therapy. I have since worked as a Music Therapist.
