About Cort

Hello, My name is Cort and I love to teach music. I am currently taking on more students for the following instruments: Guitar, Drums, Bass. I have successfully instructed students from age 5 - 65 and gain tremendous satisfaction from helping my students achieve their goals of learning an instrument and/or progressing to a greater ability on their instrument. I teach beginning and intermediate up to the advanced level and all aspects of music (reading, writing, theory, chords, scales, modes, composition, and most styles of music). I have been playing and performing for over 25 years. I have an AA degree with a concentration in music education. I have studied privately with legendary jazz/fusion drummer, composer, and actor Alphonse Mouzon (drum set) and with guitar genius Julian Coryell ...

Cort is a great guitarist who has been taking drum lessons from me over the years - so he can teach you how to play the guitar and drums. Cort is a great drum student who has learned many styles of drumming from me. He's kind and gentle and very relaxed, which will put your mind at ease so you're not nervous. That's what I do with my students. So please check out Cort when you need lessons.

"Cort is reliable and gives you your money's worth."

"I took bi-monthly guitar lessons from Cort for nearly 3 years. Cort is enthusiastic about music and is very knowledgeable. Though originally a drummer, he is well versed in the guitar as a teacher and player. He pays close attention to detail and really cares about his students. He has an easy going demeanor and is open to your input about what you are most interested in learning. He also has a good idea of what will help you be a complete and well-rounded player. Cort is reliable and gives you your money's worth."

Instrumental and/or vocal recording playback is a tool I use to enable the student to see their strengths, but more importantly to focus on the areas needing improvement. Once an arrangement has achieved the desired success, the student will have the opportunity to upload their composition to their own music channel for public viewing.

About Jean

If you or your child is interested in taking piano/keyboard, guitar, voice lessons, or if your child is in need of academic tutoring, I would really like to be your instructor! You have the option of my traveling to your home, or you are welcome to my home studio, conveniently located in Anaheim.

To tell you a little about myself, I was raised in a musical family introduced to music at a very young age. I took piano, organ, guitar, glockenspiel, and voice lessons for many years, and participated in music recitals.

I enjoyed singing, and with my music theory background, participated in vocal/piano recitals, involved myself in every school musical, joined every choir, participated in out-of-state voice sight reading competitions, and ultimately joined the New York All State Choir. ...

I really think Jean is a great and fun teacher.

I am extremely glad Jean is my guitar instructor because she helps me understand and learn music very fast. She makes it fun and understanding for me. Jean is also friendly and encouraging. She makes me feel comfortable playing around her because she does not judge me and gives me feedback to help fix my mistakes. I enjoy every session with her because Jean is a great person.

About Glenn

Hi, I'm Glenn. Thank you for viewing my profile. I've been teaching students for over 20 years, playing all styles and levels of music, from day-one beginners to seasoned pros seeking to sharpen their playing skills. I teach both traditional notation and tablature, writing my own teaching methods in both formats. I can transcribe any song or solo for you, and can arrange the music to fit your particular level of skill.

I earned a B.A. in Music Composition and an A.A. in music theory, and have worked as a professional musician since graduation. My son is 7 years of age and has never received any music lessons. I bought him a guitar for his birthday and he was just happy to play with it without any guitar lessons. I convinced him otherwise. I did not know what to expect from Glenn. I knew about him because he was highly recommended in our Long Beach neighborhood. I signed my son up and after a few minutes of being with Glenn, my son was hooked. He came away from his first 30 minute session saying, “wow…I did not know I could play the guitar!”. My son was so excited. As a parent…that is very exciting! I was sold! I was amazed how he was able to pick up what Glenn taught him within that first lesson. Glenn made it fun. The atmosphere was very relaxed and his style of teaching clicked with my son right away. After basically 12 sessions, my son was able to perform at a musical recital Glenn hosted for his students. Not only was I proud of my son, I also got to see kids of all ages and adults performing that day and it was pretty impressive. Overall, I highly recommend Glenn. He is able to keep my 7 year old boy focused and teaches him effectively while making it fun!

About Cody

So, what is the "right way" to sing? Well, there's more than one answer. Having performed in, and taught various genres (including but not limited to jazz, musical theatre, opera, pop, barbershop, A-Capella, and do-wop), I have encountered countless ideas on what people think the correct technique is. Many find it far too difficult to coordinate the seemingly overwhelming technicalities that can accompany "correct" vocal use. I am proud to say that I have come across the best combination of tools and a straight-forward approach to vastly improving your abilities and overall vocal health. I am confident that it is the easiest and most efficient way to get the results you're looking for. I will help you preserve your voice as well to achieve the most important ...

READ THE BREAKDOWN.

Cody is a great producer and a great guy - both are equally important in creating the best recording experience. Some of his attributes are best expanded upon with bullet-points.

HUMBLE.
This is hugely important. There is not a pretentious bone in his body. Cody is great at what he does but is not afraid to ask for help from people who might know more about whatever aspect of the music creation process specific to the artist. There is no “I’m the producer and I know more than you” attitude. Instead, his attitude is very much of equality where both parties understand the strengths that they bring to the table.

PATIENT.
Sometimes I have a lot of ideas - or none at all. Cody would bear with my A.D.D. moments in the studio when dealing with ideas that I sometimes couldn't communicate. Instead of writing my ideas off, he instead worked with me until we achieved exactly what I was trying to get at.

RESPECTFUL.
Being an artist himself, Cody has immense respect for the artist and their creations.

UNDERSTANDING.
Cody’s understanding of all kinds of music lends to his fearlessness of exploring new genres - but it doesn't stop at exploring - he captures their essence. I've heard tracks he’s done that are R&B, indie-rock, country, EDM, etc. and its hard to imagine they were all from the same brain. If you wanted a Bollywood track, I’m sure he could give you one.

RESOURCEFUL.
Cody has ingenuity and is resourceful. He would never tell me what *works with my kind of music* or what kind of instrument I would *need for the song* - if we wanted a certain sound, we’d make it - out of wax paper and water bottles if necessary.

EFFICIENT.
Mostly I sat in awe and watched Cody click and move stuff.

COMMITTED.
Even when he didn't have to, Cody would work on my track in his free time meticulously making sure everything was how it should sound and also just to make sure there wasn't any territory we had overlooked.

And that's just naming a few.

All in all, Cody brings a child-like spirit of wonder to his sessions - where the song is not a job or a chore, but a new world waiting to be explored, full of possibilities waiting to be uncovered. And that excitedness and spirit of discovery is KEY to sustaining creativity in a studio environment. Not only does it make the whole process productive, it makes it FUN. Cody’s character bleeds into how he works and into what he creates and the final product reflects that.

So Helpful and Patient

Cody is one of the best voice teachers out there. Whether it's helping you get started on your first song, or helping you understand the basics of music theory, he is hands down one of the best voice teachers I have ever had. He is very patient, and within the first 5 minutes he will be able to tell what you need the most help on, sometimes without you even needing to say it. You will leave the lesson feeling fully accomplished and confident.

Awesome recording session!

I had such a pleasure working with Cody. He is so creative and wants the absolute best for his clients/students. I am a singer who sings a lot of Broadway and classical repertoire, and wanted to record a track that was more on the side of pop. I was nervous at first, but in just a couple of takes, Cody helped me find my pop voice and really made me feel at ease singing my vocals. He had me do a couple of cool tricks to really connect with what I was singing about and after that, everything clicked and I was letting myself be free with my new sound and Cody was so supportive and gave wonderful feedback. He's a great coach as well! I loved every idea he had.
I had so much fun in the studio and highly recommend working with him...I know I will again in the future.

About Eulis

Hello! Thanks for visiting my profile. Allow me to tell you a bit about myself:
I have been performing as a musician for about 20 years and acting since I was a small boy. I started my musical education as a woodwind player and settled in to the wonderful world of singing over time. Music has opened me up to so many opportunities from touring the world to performing in marvelous concert halls and working with some of today's most revered artists, as well as giving me the opportunity to expand my performance through acting in various plays, musicals, television, and film.

Performing has been my salvation. It has been a best friend and constant source of joy, and I share this gift with others so that it might offer them the same. After 10 years of teaching, I have new ...

I highly recommend Eulis. I'm an experienced singer in the middle of an album project, and I was able to take away some huge tips I was able to put into practice immediately. His ears are incredibly sensitive and can hear what's going on with you in world class form. Highly recommend!!!

I could not recommend a better teacher and person in Eulis. His kind spirit, patient demeanor, and gifted voice provides any student with a strong example of what a professional musician looks like. What most people need is someone who doesn't just paint by the numbers but who is able to assess your goals, talents and desires and match it with just the right program; you'll progress quickly and enjoy every minute of the effort. Because of his vast experience, breadth of skills and years of singing, Eulis provides the kind of musical insights that help you find out who you are and discover or refine your voice. Thanks, Eulis for all the great work we've done together and I look forward to more!

Before we get to Eulis, let’s talk me ;) I am 18 years old, and until about a month ago I had not a bit of experience in singing. At all! YOLO though, so I got online and did the searches, and immediately found Eulis. I read he had some experience performing with Disney and he had some videos of himself singing. I was drawn in by his talent and apparent, very genuine love for voice and music, just as you probably were, in that you are taking the time to read his reviews! Anyways, let me just fill you in to how much more there is to Eulis. Right off the bat, Eulis is an extremely comfortable spirit who gives off a very sincere eagerness to help you in the journey to reaching your vocal potential. Every lesson I have had, I am surprised at how easy it is to develop a skill which forces so much vulnerability from those who try to master it. Eulis creates a completely safe and fun environment in his studio were you can take risks and play with music and your voice. I feel I have his complete dedication and attention in every minute of a lesson, and even through some assignments he gives me to complete independently. Also guys, improvement is fast under Eulis’s direction. In lessons he teaches to condition the entire performer. In other words, equal focus is split between the physicality and techniques of singing and the connection to emotions in music. The combination makes you feel more like a pro than you ever thought you would! Honestly, I could not be more confident that Eulis has the talent to bring out the best of my own. Just book your first lesson to see what I mean. Happy singing!
