Hi, I am a multi-international prize winner and a dedicated teacher. A piano performance graduate of Manhattan School of Music and University of Illinois, I have collaborated as soloist with major orchestras in China, USA, Europe and South America for fifteen years.

In the summer of 2006, I made my critically acclaimed European debut at the International Piano Festivals held in Spain and Canary Islands. In 2008, I was selected by famous New York critics David Dubal to perform in his lecture concert series, live broadcast on WQXR. From October of 2008 to July 2009, I won five international competition awards around globe, which led me to several concert tours in the following years. Magic piano teacher

I have known Jingjing personally through his performances for five years and recently my 6-year old son started having lessons with him. At first, my son wasn't really be able to sit tight for 10 minutes but after a few lessons, he could concentrate for 25-30 minutes. Jingjing's lessons are magical! And my son enjoys the lessons now. He already played a few folk songs and was encouraged to compose his own music at the piano. I really appreciate Jingjing's effort!

Great mentor!

I've worked with JINGJING WANG for 3 years and he's been always reliable, patient and creative. He taught me many different ways to practice and it was such an incredible experience. Now I am a piano teacher myself and I will keep learning from him.

Satisifaction!

I am constantly satisfied with my daughter's performance after each lesson. Jingjing is all of the wonderful things everyone had said in their reviews. I couldn't be more happy and grateful with my choice. He is such a good teacher!

About Michael

Like any musician, music is my life.

I love to soak it in any way I can! Whether it be listening to records, jamming with my friends or watching all the live concert footage of Stevie Ray Vaughan I can get my hands on.

I'm that guy you see in the supermarket who is bobbing his head to the music over the intercom while picking up a loaf of bread.

Graduating as music major with a concentration in instrumental performance for guitar, I have developed many important skills that pertain to putting on a good show as well as being musically proficient. I have a love for Blues, Funk, Jazz and R&B music, and the ease of self expression in these genres. My undergraduate study combined with onstage experience has given me the time and instruction to learn how to blend with other ...

Mich teaches guitar in our home to our 10-year-old daughter. What a find he is. He strikes the absolute right balance among humor, comfort, and moving her along with challenges. He has been responsive to every question I have had, and never made me feel like I was being a pushy stage mom. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Mich for my daughter and I hope they continue together for years to come.

Inspiring instructor!

Michael is a patient and passionate musician, which comes across in his teaching. As a beginner at guitar, I was nervous that I was going to be judged or talked to condescendingly but he understands what a beginner needs to know and really meets you where you're at with the lesson plans and expectations. Feel very comfortable asking questions and get honest and thought out questions. Definitely recommend for anyone at any level!

David B. Chicago, IL

About David

Originally from Indiana, David has been teaching music in both the private and public school sectors for 12 years. Getting his start as a drumline instructor with only 4 students, David soon expanded his teaching to include both guitar and piano, which he studied under Frank Puzzulo (of Miles Davis' group) at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Upon graduating Ball State, David moved to Colorado to study jazz and classical music with Dr. Douglas Walter, an accomplished percussionist who is known for his versatility and multiple percussion talents. He also studied piano and guitar in his off time, jamming with several rock and jazz groups both in and out of school.

In 2006, David left the college scene with a Masters in Music and moved to Florida where he began his ...

David is great working with my 8 year old daughter. He is very patient, friendly, and outgoing. He quickly adapted to her specific needs and skill level since she has already had some lessons, instead of trying to start her all over from square one. Highly recommended!

David is hilarious, truthful, and extremely encouraging when it comes to piano! He doesn't tell me I'm doing great if I'm not in fear of getting a bad review (haha) ...he's great and takes moments to correct me if I'm doing something wrong. He's genuine and a great great teacher!! I guess I would recommend him. NOT. OF COURSE I WOULD!

I have never had any interest in singing beyond that which I do in my car, but I do now!
I agreed to take a lesson from Ben purely to see what range of voice I had. I planned on taking only one lesson, simply for this reason. As Ben had me doing the exercises, I realized that I had quite a bit of potential I never even dreamed I would have. He unlocked things in my voice I never knew I had. I learnt so much from that one lesson and had such a truly fun time, I decided I would continue.
I have taken six lessons now and I see huge improvements in my singing. When I sing for fun in the car, I now know how to "tame" my voice, I now understand the mechanics of singing styles and I understand how to breathe properly.
Each lesson I learn something new and though I tend to sometimes forget proper technique, Ben is always patient with me and, in a clear and concise way, shows me what I am doing wrong. He has a very good way of explaining things and really tries to unlock all my potential. Every visit I walk away happy and excited and with a lighter step. I feel my confidence, in general, has increased through these lessons. I fully recommend Ben to anyone wanting to learn what they are capable of with their voice...I've learned everyone is capable of singing. I recommend even one lesson with Ben to learn some basics and see what your vocal range is...and from there, see if you don't want to continue :)

Benjamin has been exemplary since day one. He's clear and concise in his explanations, well thought-out with his criticism, and always supportive of my growth. His technique is wonderful, and I noticed improvement in my singing after one lesson. After a month of lessons, I've increased my range and my tone significantly. I would highly recommend him for anyone in the Indianapolis area looking to become a better singer, whether they're new to singing or a pro.
