My name is Tracy. I am so excited for the chance to be working with you. Here is a little background on my musical training and experience. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 12 from Karen Hudson, (a highly respected piano teacher in San Antonio), using the Suzuki Piano Method (an advanced Japanese curriculum). Although I started a little later than the average student, I discovered right away that I had a great love and passion for the instrument. I joined my church praise and worship team when I was 15 and have been playing on praise and worship teams ever since. I have worked with beginners all the way to professional musicians and band leaders and have attended several music conferences (including Hillsong Conference in Sydney, Australia.) My senior year of high ...
Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Felipe Garcia and I am a self-taught music teacher. I began teaching music in 2010 and have loved it ever since. I believe learning to play music can be fun and easy, and I work hard to make sure your experience with music is one that will inspire you to keep playing for the rest of your life, for as Friedrich Nietzsche said, “without music, life would be a mistake.” My experience with music began long ago when I begged my parents to buy me a drumset and they finally gave in and bought me one when I was 14. Prior to that, I had no real experience with music except as a listener. I taught myself how to play by playing along with CDs of my favorite bands and eventually I felt like the drums wasn't enough, so I talked my parents into ...
I am an enthusiastic teacher who focuses on helping my students master the basics. I obtained a double degree in music and music education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where I studied piano with Clement C. Petrillo. I furthered my education with a master's degree in music education from U.T.S.A.. My students will benefit from my knowledge of repertoire and technique to achieve their goals. I strive to find music my students will want to play that is accessible, but will also stretch their abilities. I have taught in both the public and private schools for over thirty-five years and I know how important it is for students to feel both comfortable and challenged. *** Lesson Details *** I strive to maintain a comfortable, but professional, atmosphere in

I have experience tutoring students as well as working with individuals individually and in groups, as an undergrad intern, a cognitive skills trainer, and a counseling student. As an undergrad intern, I worked with elementary school children as a tutor and a mentor. As a counseling student, I have worked with various populations, from children to adults to older adults in hospice care, as well as individuals suffering from a mental illness. This diversity has given me an all around kind of perspective when it comes to working with individuals and has especially helped me further develop my approach to working with individuals. My approach is one that is peculiar to the individual. As an auto-didactic learner, I believe that everyone has their own way of learning; therefore,
I am a tutor of various subjects and skills that I have picked up over the course of my time. Although I am not a master at any of them, I'm able to teach anyone the fundamentals of what needs to be taught before showing you how difficult the subject will become in the future of the lesson. If you wish to learn any of the subjects I had listed above, I'd be more than happy to share with you my experience in what I've learned or just for the fun of it. I love teaching and nothing has ever changed that. (Please note that I DO NOT give online lessons. It was a mistake that I made during my profile construction. I apologize for the inconvenience.)
