Started playing music when I was three. Violin Piano and Guitar, but by the time I was seven I knew Guitar was my forte and I put all of my energy into that. I come from a very musical family. My father was a successful jazz/blues performer and my mother a classically trained viola player, my aunt an astounding pianist. Music was always around and from a very early age I learned the language of music at the same time as learning to read and write in my native tongue. When I was about ten years old I started putting together more professional sounding bands and playing small gigs, usually opening up for my dad's band and his friends bands but we had a ball playing music together. I have been teaching and playing gigs for years and I am currently studying at Kennesaw State University to receive a Bachelors degree in Jazz Guitar Performance. I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia who has been studying music for 17 years. My first instrument was the piano at age 6, and I began playing percussion in my middle school band when I was 11. My deep love of music drove me to pursue a Bachelor of Music Performance degree, which I earned magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2012. In college, I studied percussion with Tim Adams, retired principal timpanist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and Dr. Arvin Scott, former Berklee College of Music instructor and founder of the Drumming for Success Program.

Music (and especially percussion) is an exciting and enormous world that I am eager to share with you, either at your home or in my studio. I am a patient, funny, and outgoing teacher who caters to your specific needs as a student. I have a degree in Music with a concentration in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance. I am also a singer who loves to share my talent with others. I have been singing since I was 3 or 4 years old. I am a proud teacher in a primary school and a voice instructor to others during my other time. I have worked with individuals and large groups over the 10 years I have been teaching. Teaching from a young age has helped me developed to be a better teacher, communicator, encourager and coach. When I have a goal, I set a realistic objective that helps me to accomplish my goal effectively. I love what I do and I strive to help others be great at what they do!

Music is my passion, my hobby, my career and my gift. I have been performing since age 7 and teaching for the last 25 years. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in music and love to share my knowledge and experience with all ages and aptitudes - even special needs. My approach to teaching is fun but serious, laid-back but encouraging, demanding but forgiving. I teach students how to be disciplined with their practice and how to make the most of their limited time.

I am an energetic and creative individual with a passionate desire for success. One of my favorite things to do is express myself with the music I write, and I really encourage my students to do the same thing. In 2007 I graduated from the Atlanta Institute of Music with a Certificate of Musicianship in their guitar performance and composition program. I can say that I am well versed in genres like rock, classical, pop, jazz, blues, surf, flamenco, and can play anything that is needed of me. Since graduating I have made a living teaching hundreds of students privately and have performed in many clubs, bars, restaurants, private parties, and weddings in the greater Atlanta area.

Currently I play bass in the rising indie rock band RAVENS & WOLVES and continue to influence musicians all around with my teaching and inspirational attitude.

Will is from a long line of World Renowned Drummers. His uncle Ed played in the Tonite show band with Johnny Carson, his cousin plays drums for Billy Joel ( Liberty DeVito). Will himself took to the drums at the age of 7. By 13 years old he was already gigging in special events, Jazz Bands and local community concerts. Since he has performed with Mr Louie Bellson ( Legendary Jazz drummer) , Lou Soloff ( Trumpeter for Blood , Sweat and Tears), JIm Chapin ( Legendary Jazz Drummer, father of Harry Chapin and author of some of the best Drumming Technique books still employed today. Mr S. is a consummate performer and educator with over 30 years of World Tour performances in some of the Globe's most notable venues and stages. I have been playing/writing music for the last 10 years. I am a very passionate, positive, and fun person; and my love for music shows in my lessons. Music is more than a hobby to me; it is truly my life, and I love sharing it with others.

The very moment I learned to read music, I started creating music of my own. I enjoyed writing music so much that I decided (while in middle school!) that music was going to be my future, my career, my life! I graduated from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA with a BA in Music Education, voice principal. During my years in public schools I taught a variety of age ranges and subjects including kindergarten general music, beginning band, high school chorus, and remedial middle school English and language arts. I have professional Yoga training and enjoy incorporating aspects of that when tutoring adult, middle school, high school, and elementary students. I also uses Yoga, brain respiration and other healing techniques in my lessons as needed.

I was a member of The William Baker Festival Singers and Summer Singers since 2003 before becoming Media Relation Coordinator in 2006 and Assistant to the Music Director in 2008 and left the group in July of 2009 to pursue other musical ventures.

I am a recent graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music and have a relaxed teaching style with a focus on aural skills and and musicianship. At AIM in addition to honing my skills, I learned how to teach myself by gaining a very strong foundation in music both technical and theoretical.
