Dominic M., America’s Tenor, has been singing in one form or another since the age of four. As a young man, Dominic began honing his skills of singing and acting through Community Theater. His voice and career were forever changed when vocal coach and mentor, Suzanne Ferris-Hammer introduced him to the great voice of Mario Lanza. From the moment Dominic heard the voice of Mario Lanza, he began to fashion his own voice in that image.

Dominic continued to expand his career by developing his own show, which includes the songs of Mario Lanza in their original keys. These shows were held in some of the finest NYC Cabarets such as Don’t Tell Mama, Duplex Café, Danny’s Skylight Café, Café 44, and Eighty Eights. He has also performed these shows at The New Palace of the Performing Arts of New Jersey and at Odettes in New Hope, PA.

I grew up in a musical home, my father was a rock and roll and soul session drummer throughout the '60's and '70's in New York. I picked up the guitar at 11 years old and started taking lessons. After studying classical and jazz throughout high school I attended William Paterson University from 1994 - 1997, majoring in Music Education and studying with jazz guitar guru Vic Juris and classical guitarist Rich Jacobowski.

In 1997, I moved to Brooklyn and cut my teeth in the NYC R&B and rock club scene playing in the band Sole Pocket, and with various jazz combos at many other clubs including the Blue Note and the Knitting Factory. I started playing guitar at age 11, taking lessons at the local music studio in Hackensack, NJ. Thanks for checking out my profile. My name is Steve and I teach beginning guitar lessons. I was born and raised in New Jersey. I've been playing guitar from the age of 5 and have long been involved with music ever since. I studied guitar at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. I have studied jazz guitar in high school and college but I am able to play and teach a wide range of musical genres.

Just as a side note: I prefer to play and teach on acoustic guitar, though I have no problem with electric guitar (not that there's a difference between the two; it's just a personal preference).
