Music is a way of connecting peoples' passions, dreams, and goals. It calms the mind, soothes the soul, and brings joy to the hardest and saddest of hearts. I am currently working on my Bachelor's degree in Music Education at Dallas Baptist University. Needless to say, my life literally revolves around music. I have taken piano since early elementary school and have a passion to share my love of music with others. I have studied under Laura Lozano until graduation from high school and under Beth Quillian at DBU. I have taught piano lessons for a few years now and cannot find another joy that compares to watching a child's face when they find worth in themselves and are proud of the music they are making! I love to find fun and unique ways of teaching the art of performance, skill, technique, theory, and rhythm--no matter the age of the student.

I teach my students how to understand how music is put together so they can learn even more on their own.

I read, write, and play all styles and I focus on teaching the student fundamentals that work in all styles of music ....AND I get them going on the style they are interested in - pop, rock, country, folk, etc.

I have spent my entire life in the music industry and I can show you how to use what I teach to apply to the real world. I have also been a successful songwriter and I can work with students to learn about song structure and song writing.

I am also good at preparing students for college music classes.

20 years of Professional Piano teaching experience with children of different ages and levels. Some of my students have participated in international piano playing competition. I have a Masters Degree in Music Education. I have been a Piano teacher for children at US military bases in Germany and Italy, and at a Music Schools in Russia.

Kenny W. was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where at the age of 3 he began to play the drums in the church. His family then moved to Houston where he continued playing, and began his studies with Sam Dinkins of the Dinky Drum Company. Throughout Kenny’s life, he has been blessed to be able to receive invitations and perform at various music festivals such as the International Federation of Musicians National Convention, the Texas Jazz Festival, the Kemah Jazz Festival, the Essence Festival, Austin's SXSW and many more. He has also been extended the invitation to share the stage with artist such as Bob Becker and Nexus, Conrad Johnson Jazz Orchestra, the Young Sounds of Houston Jazz Orchestra, the Zapp Band, Scarface, Ali Woodson, and continues to perform with various artist today. Kenny has participated in recordings both as a composer and musician with the University of North Texas Voices of Praise Gospel Choir, Titus Glen and United Voices, Quentin Moore, Liquid...

Born in Arlington, Texas, I began playing guitar and bass guitar in high school. After studying for several years under Joey Faust, I studied Jazz, Classical Guitar, and Music Theory at TCC in Fort Worth. I've been teaching since 2003, my students ranging in age from 3 to over 70. I also play piano, mandolin, banjo, and ukulele.

I have been seen all across the DFW area because of one thing... My skill!!! I am currently endorsed by Spaun Drum Company as well as Silver Fox drumsticks! I am ready to give you what it takes to live your musical dream. I have played and performed many shows as well as competed in many music events. I have the right skill to make your dream a reality and I want to see you succeed in the same way! If you want to learn any instrument and then rock faces off I'm your guy. I can teach all styles of music from jazz to metal.

The one thing I love about teaching is seeing the student actually get it! There will be so many hours put into learning there instrument and let me tell you, it gets frustrating for the student.. But when that student actually gets the fundamentals of there instrument, I feel like I have done my job. I love music because you can communicate through it. You decide what you want it to say, my job is to teach you HOW to communicate...

Singer-songwriter, performer, producer, and teacher Christina is a multi-talented musician who has been playing piano as a professional musician for over 18 years. Christina has been involved with music for all her life. Born with perfect pitch and playing piano at the age of three, she has been taking private classical lessons from professors from UNT and has developed her skills throughout playing different genres of style. Christina has had vocal training for 10 years and participated in advanced choirs and jazz ensembles at UNT. Christina has a wonderful passion for music and has a gift of teaching students. She has an extreme devotion and drive to teach others what she has learned from her own musical experience and would like to give students a chance to reach their full musical potential they've always wanted.

I believe in: the power of music to enrich human existence and create community; the value of all styles of music; the creative potential of every individual; the value of trust, integrity and respect within a learning environment; instilling in an individual an unending belief in ones self; and excellent and inspiring musical mentorship.

Jason T. started his illustrious performing career at the tender age of five in day camp volunteering to sing “The Happy Wanderer” a capella for Parent’s Day.

Mounting productions in his garage as a child, he convinced his friends to be in the show with only his father as a reluctant audience member who was toiling away at his work bench. Combine these garage productions with performances on the back patio and it was clear Jason always loved to put on a show.

In the sixth grade, he performed “The Impossible Dream” from “Man of La Mancha” with his red cape pinned to his shirt and wielding his mighty sword assembled from a yard stick and tin foil. At this point, his career in entertainment was firmly embedded in his heart and soul.

Double majoring in Vocal Performance and Education in college, Jason honed his craft performing in operas and jazz vocal groups all the while learning the business side of entertainment.

With what you learn in your lessons you will be able to make your own music, whether it be from the printed page or something that you have composed yourself. MY EDUCATION

My story started on the day my mom said “HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHER!! Today, for your 7th year birthday, you are going to start taking piano lessons!!” Well, I didn’t know what to think about that...

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in music w/ a piano concentration & a Master of Music in music theory degree both from the University of Maryland. I also started a Ph.D degree in music theory from the University of North Texas. I can help you become the best musician you can be & I can help you attain your goals. I have 15years full time teaching experience & I have also taught at the community college & at the university level. I love teaching very much & I love sharing it w/ others!

I was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, where I took piano lessons from age eight through college. I graduated from Indiana University, which has one of the top-rated music schools in the country, with a BA in History and French and a minor in music. Music has always been a central part of my life. For several summers I attended Rocky Ridge Music Center in Colorado, where I studied piano and music theory with university music faculty from across the country. In high school I played piano and clarinet in band and received division I ratings at the state solo piano competition. I also have an MA degree in history and have worked as an adjunct college history instructor. Since moving to Texas I’ve taught piano lessons and also worked with Dallas area band students as a piano accompanist for the district and state solo competitions. Besides teaching and performing, I’m a graduate student and am working on completing a PhD in history.
