Stacey is a professional soprano known as an active performer in the Cincinnati area. Stacey has sung for 8 seasons with the Cincinnati Opera as a member of the core chorus and sings with Cincinnati's professional chamber choir the Vocal Arts Ensemble. She also sings with the North American New Opera Workshop and ascend voices. Stacey has recently been named as the Director of Artistic Collaboration for ascend voices.
Stacey has studied piano from the age of 5 and is great for beginning or intermediate piano students.
Stacey has taught students of all ages and with various musical styles. Her students have included professional ballet dancers with Broadway aspirations, an 8-year-old girl simply wanting to break out of her shyness, and high school students preparing for College auditions. Her students have performed in nationally known rock bands, been accepted into College music programs, they have been members of the Mayfestival Youth Chorus, the Kentucky GovernorâÂ€Â™s School for the Arts, and have traveled to Europe with competitive touring choirs.
Stacey's operatic performing credits include Autumn in Charles Halka's Layover with NANOworks Opera, the Mother in Amahl and Night Visitors with the Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra, Testo in Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda with the College-Conservatory of Music , Mimi from Puccini'Â€Â™s La Boheme in the CCM's Opera scenes program, Donna Donna in P.D.Q Bach'Â€Â™s The Abduction of Figaro , 1st Lady in Mozart's Die ZauberflÃ¶te and Juno in Offenbach'Â€Â™s Orpheus in the Underworld all at the DePauw University Opera Theatre. Other partial roles/scenes performed include Suzel in Mascangi'Â€Â™s Lamico Fritz, Countess in Mozart'Â€Â™s Le Nozze di Figaro, and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte.
More than just singing opera Stacey is known for her versatility as a classical singer regularly doing cross over work. She regularly gigs as a jazz/popular singer accompanying herself on the piano. Her musical theater performing credits include Mama in Everybody'Â€Â™s Buddy: The Buddy LaRosa Story, Shelia in Hair with DePauw University, Ensemble/Soprano Soloist in Sweeny Todd, Sonia in Godspell with the Lakeside Players and Yonah in Children of Eden with the Lakeside Players.
Stacey received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music where she studied with Barbara Paver. She graduated magna cum laude from DePaul University with a B.M. in Vocal Performance. She studied with Caroline Smith and Stanley Irwin.
Stacey is originally from Florence, Kentucky and takes pride in impacting her home community through music.

Stacey is known for adapting lessons for the individual. Each body is unique and thus each vocal instrument is unique. Stacey takes time to get to know each student and caters to their specific needs and goals. She believes in well rounded performers working often on dramatic intentions, overall professionalism, and stage presence. David P. began formal training with St. Elizabeth’s church organist on piano at age eight. His older brothers and sisters taught him how to play guitar at home, and at school he was a featured vocal soloist at concert performances. During his high school years, he began playing drums and singing at shows around the greater Cincinnati area. While attending Xavier University, David continued to play in several groups. He performed with the Xavier University Choir for four years under the direction of conductor and music department chair Helmut Roerig. David performed with the Xavier University Percussion Ensemble and studied drums with John Gardner of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra for four years. He studied voice with Harriet Beebe and piano with Rebecca Slater among others for four year also. While studying electronic music at Xavier, David began teaching classes with professor James Hart. Today, professor Hart and David are co-composers at Ambient Studios. David has written countless compositions heard across the globe on networks such as Lifetime, MTV and VH-1. He is the head of Ambient Studios and Ambient Studios Music Academy. David has taught at Midwest Music, Queen City Music, Take Lessons, Willis Music, Music Makers, Norwood High School, and Roger Bacon High School.

Students will learn to read music literature, play songs, and have fun! I am an easy-going instructor, while at the same time, I still want to challenge students so they can excel at their instrument. Most students really look forward to their lessons all week. For drums, students will learn rhythm, rudiments, beats, and fills. I use a couple of Rick Latham's drum workbooks, and a couple of Ted Reed's workbooks among others. For beginner's I have eighteen lessons I've designed to get started. For piano, students will learn keys on the piano, chords, scales, key signatures, grand staff, read music and play songs of all styles, including classical, pop, jazz, folk, gospel, indie, and traditional. I have an adult beginners workbook and few for children. I also have a lot of material I like to use that I've designed. For voice, students will learn scales, keys, breathing techniques, delivery, and diction. Breath is the most important tool for proper pitch and vocal strength. Students are encouraged to play an instrument to help with voice lessons, but this is not necessary. For guitar, students will learn notes on the guitar, chords, scales, key signatures, read music and play songs, including, pop, rock, indie, jazz, folk, and traditional. Students can learn to play their favorite songs. I accept students from beginner to intermediate experience on guitar. For music theory, students will learn intervals, chords, scales, key signatures, harmony, composition, and figured bass. Students are encouraged to learn music theory using a piano, but another instrument may be used as well.

Lessons are held at Ambient Studios, a professional commercial recording studio where famous legends like Bootsy Collins have recorded. Here, students are able to record their own performances, and perfect their craft. Available instruments are a Roland V-drum set, a Mapex acoustic drum set, a Studiologic 88-key grand piano, Fender, Yamaha, Gibson, and Martin guitars, and state-of-the-art pre-amps and microphones.

I received my Bachelor of Music Degree in Organ Performance from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in June of 2010, studying under Dr. Roberta Gary. I have completed all the coursework for the Master of Music Degree in Organ Performance. I will receive the degree in 2014 after performing one more solo recital.
I began playing the piano at the age of 5, later moving to the organ at 12. I have held a church job since then, working in multiple different denominations and settings. I have a strong background of piano, accompanying, theory, sacred liturgy, and musical performance. I enjoy studying and listening to many genres of music as well as performing them. I am very interested in historically informed performance and understanding different techniques as they are related to the composition style of different time periods.
I enjoy working with students of all ages. Regardless of your ability, age, or experience, I will work with you. We can work out a plan for lesson times, intensity of practice and work, and tailor the lesson to the right pace for you.

My lessons tend to be tailored to the needs of individual students. I am not as much a fan of a strict curriculum that I use on each student. For beginners, one can expect to be given method books to get them moving in the right direction. As one advances, we eventually move on to repertoire. I take an approach to lessons that emphasizes total body awareness and high level mental awareness. The most important thing anyone can learn in music is that it isn't just about the right notes; it isn't about the right rhythm. It is about the complete musicianship and the complete awareness needed to truly understand and perform a work of music. In order to make this approach work, my strictness as a teacher varies depending on the level of devotion the student is willing to put forth. After six months with me as a teacher, expect to notice changes in the way you see music and comprehend your technique at the keyboard.

I am very highly trained in performance practices of the Baroque era, especially on the organ. I am also very specialized in body movement and efficient keyboard technique. I also have a lot of experience in the Romantic repertoire of the piano. Lastly, I am also well trained as an accompanist on both the organ and the piano.
