About Me

I started my musical journey as a teenager trying to emulate classic rock Guitar players like Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. However, I soon became interested in Jazz which is what eventually lead me to study at Berklee College of Music. While in college I studied classical guitar as well so I find myself teaching students all genres of music ( which is great !). My own private studies have included lessons with John Abercrombie and Mick Goodrick.

About Me

David is a successful singer/songwriter/guitarist out of Baltimore, MD. He has a bachelor's degree in Music with a concentration in composition from Salisbury University, where he also studied jazz and classical guitar . In the 16 years he has been performing (11 of those professionally) and playing guitar, he has released 4 CDs and written over 200 original songs. He has shared the stage with major national acts like My Chemical Romance, The Used, Thrice, Story of the Year, The Bouncing Souls, The Pietasters, Eric Hutchinson, Virginia Coalition, two-time Emmy Award winner Michael Whalen (Good Morning America, Oprah Winfrey, Inside Edition) and most recently, Graham Colton. In the process, he has performed at such notable venues as FedEx Field, Nissan Pavilion, Rams Head Live, the Recher Theatre and the Hard Rock Cafe.

About Me

Baritone, O.J., holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where he matriculated as a recipient of a full Linehan Artist Scholarship, a merit-based scholarship awarded to talented and promising artists and musicians. He has recently accepted a position with a program committed to recruiting outstanding professionals who want to bring their experience, knowledge, and records of achievement to the classroom and positively impact the lives of the students who need them the most. He also serves as the Director of Music for Hunt's Memorial United Methodist Church as a private vocal pedagogue and performer in the Baltimore area and is pursuing a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.

About Me

I was born in Charlestown West Virginia. My musical career started at age 3 when my parents place a pair of drum sticks in my hands. I started playing drums in church then progress to play in middle school were I was apart of the jazz band and orchestra. With some very early lessons, I begin to blossom into a skillful drummer. I then continue to play in these bands in high school in addition became apart of the Milford Mill Academy Marching Band. In my sophomore year, I became the section leader of the drum line were I played the snare drum. I have 2 degrees in music theory from Deer Park Magnet school and Morgan State University. I have perform with many bands from different musical genres such as, gospel, funk, pop, jazz, blues, rock, latin, reggae, and r&b. In 2004 I became the only drumming instructor at The Psalms of David School Of Music. I have been teaching private lessons for close to 10 years and have been an active performer for even longer, playing in all different types of groups, from rock bands and jazz groups to orchestras and brass bands. I studied music at Frostburg State University (Bachelors) and the Peabody Conservatory (Masters). I can teach just about any age and skill level and cover anything you are interested in learning; whether its a certain style, genre, technique or song.

About Me

Hello, my name is Richard. I love all things music, but my primary areas of focus are Piano and Music Literacy and Theory. My musical journey began when I was 6 years old, shortly after my grandparent's piano came to reside in my parents' home. I began piano lessons during that summer after first grade. By the time I was in junior high, my teacher thought I was ready for a more advanced teacher, and so I began taking lessons from someone who had traveled to Europe to study music. In college, I continued my musical journey, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelors in Church Music with a Piano Principal and again in 2004 with a Masters in the same. Since then I have been teaching at a K-12 school, teaching mostly computer-related subjects but also assisting in the music program, fine arts competitions, and special programs. I have been teaching since 1994, and I am a member of The Music Teachers National Association, The Maryland State Music Teachers Association, and The Music Teachers Association of Greater Baltimore. I have two pieces of paper on the wall that are supposed to say I know a thing or two about music, namely a Bachelor of Science in Music Theory and Composition from Towson University, and an Associate in Arts in Music from Montgomery College. Some of the more commercial and mainstream stuff I've composed includes: Theme music for The Bargain Basement Game Show by Treyhawk Productions; Songs for The Rude Mechanicals’ production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing; Title music for the unabridged audiobook productions of The Black Star Passes by John W. About Me

I have studied with Wanchi Huang at James Madison University for six years. At JMU, I earned a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music, both in violin performance. I am currently working on a doctoral degree at Catholic University of America, studying with Jody Gatwood. When I was a student at JMU, I taught several students privately. The students ranged from retirees to JMU faculty and students to adolescents. I am now teaching at Baltimore Talent Education Center, where I teach violin in small groups and individual lessons. The students at BTEC range from pre- kindergarden through high school. I also have festival experience. I have been a student at Brevard Music Center, Heifetz International Music Institute, BayView Music Festival, and I was a Teaching Fellow at Interlochen Arts Camp. Hi! I'm currently a first year graduate student studying Piano Performance at Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. I completed my Bachelor of Music degree at University of California, Irvine, under Dr. Lorna Griffitt.

I began playing piano at the age of four. I have been teaching part time for the past three years and I have worked with students of all ages and levels of ability.
