For more than half of my life I have been dedicated to the world of drumming. I have been active in a wide variety of style from a very young age. In the year 2000, at the age of 15, I competed in the world pipe band championships in Glasgow, Scotland, with the Chicago Higlanders Drum Corps. Scottish snare drumming is a unique and challenging style of rudimental snare drumming. All through Junior High and High School, I remained active in many different ensembles. I was active in the marching band, symphonic band, jazz band, pit orchestra, and often played auxiliary percussion for the vocal ensembles.
In 2003, I graduated high school, and the following fall I attended Harper College, in Palatine, IL. While attending Harper, I was a member of their concert band, jazz band, and steel drum band. Thor has extensive experience as a performer, composer, and teacher. He is an active performer, who keeps himself busy in all the following styles: rock, pop, jazz, country, hip-hop, classical, metal, acoustic, latin, avant-gaarde, showband, big band, sight-reading, fusion and more. He earned a degree in Music Performance from UW-Milwaukee and has completed two original albums in the last two years, with a third to be released this year. Recently he worked overseas on P&O cruise lines in Australia.

I have been working as a freelance musician and private instructor in Chicago for fifteen years. During this time I have been hired to perform Jazz, Rock, R/B, and world music. As an instructor I have maintained a studio of five to twenty students on a weekly basis. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Percussion Performance, and a Master of Music degree from De Paul University in Jazz Studies.

Originally from Indiana, David has been teaching music in both the private and public school sectors for 12 years. Getting his start as a drumline instructor with only 4 students, David soon expanded his teaching to include both guitar and piano, which he studied under Frank Puzzulo (of Miles Davis' group) at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Upon graduating Ball State, David moved to Colorado to study jazz and classical music with Dr. Douglas Walter, an accomplished percussionist who is known for his versatility and multiple percussion talents. He also studied piano and guitar in his off time, jamming with several rock and jazz groups both in and out of school.

In 2006, David left the college scene with a Masters in Music and moved to Florida where he began his teaching career. Growing up in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, I am now finishing up my Bachelor in Music degree from the DePaul School of Music in Chicago, Il.

Scott D. was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois in 1967. He expressed a keen interest in music at an early age, and subsequently, began his studies with the clarinet, and percussion while performing in the school band. A short time after that, he decided guitar was going to be his instrument of choice, and began formal studies with blues man, Don Brown. After that, Scott moved on to study with session ace, Gary Blume. By the time we was 18, he began studies for what would be the first of his two degrees, at William Rainey Harper College. My objective as a teacher is to impart what I've learned over the past 14 years as a professional drummer to students of all ages. All I require is that you have the desire to learn how to play drums!!! I focus on Technique, Theory, Improvisation, Style and most importantly Groove.
Major Accomplishments:
As an Educator: I have taught as a substitute for numerous music schools through out NJ, most notably at the Jazz Institute of New Jersey under Rodam Schwartz where I taught Jazz Drum Set, Piano and Brazilian Percussion. I have also conducted clinics in the states and in South Africa. I am currently teaching Jazz Drum Set and Snare Technique at Carthage University in Kenosha WI.

I play, write, record and perform a variety of American popular music forms
including rock, folk, blues, funk, bluegrass, country, fingerstyle
guitar, and jazz.

I began my musical training learning drums as a 12 year old and a year later began private lessons on guitar as well. In the following years, while playing in rock bands and focusing primarily on guitar and continuing practice on drums, I became interested in learning other instruments: I took harmonica lessons and taught myself how to play bass guitar and keyboards. As a teenager I also began writing my own songs and teaching myself how to record music. I also play Spanish flamenco guitar and studied with master flamenco players while living in Madrid, Spain.

Today, I play guitar, harmonica, sing and write songs for my own group, while also working on a variety of other recording projects that reflect my various musical personalities. I love everything about music, and there's nothing I enjoy more than sharing...

Paul has been teaching music in the public school system since 1997. He has a bachelor and master's degree in music education from VanderCook College of Music. While at VanderCook Paul studied all woodwind, brass, percussion, and string instruments, as well as music theory, conducting, and rehearsal techniques.

Along with being a music teacher, Paul also composes and records out of his home studio. He has played bass and guitar in various Chicago bands including, Reckless Maggie, The One, Chicago Sound Machine, and Windy City.
