About Me
For more than half of my life I have been dedicated to the world of drumming. I have been active in a wide variety of style from a very young age. In the year 2000, at the age of 15, I competed in the world pipe band championships in Glasgow, Scotland, with the Chicago Higlanders Drum Corps. Scottish snare drumming is a unique and challenging style of rudimental snare drumming. All through Junior High and High School, I remained active in many different ensembles. I was active in the marching band, symphonic band, jazz band, pit orchestra, and often played auxiliary percussion for the vocal ensembles.
In 2003, I graduated high school, and the following fall I attended Harper College, in Palatine, IL. While attending Harper, I was a member of their concert band, jazz band, and steel drum band. In 2005, I attended the Los Angeles Music Academy in Pasadena, CA, where I was able to study under jazz great Joe Porcaro. In 2006, I was back in Chicago, and joined...
