I am a classical trained singer and pianist originally from CT. I’ve been living in New York since 2006 where I’ve had opportunities to perform with and learn from many amazing musicians and people. I have been teaching piano lessons for the last 7 years to students of all ages, from 5-adult. I have worked with students ranging from beginner to advanced, students with special needs, have prepared students for NYSSMA (level 1-6), and have organized music recitals. I cannot imagine doing anything else!

My name is Nicole D. I have over twenty years of teaching experience and began classical piano training at the age of 8 years old.
As a student, I participated successfully in yearly NYSSMA and National Music Guild competitions and recitals.
In college, I was the recipient of the first Ralph V. Ritchie Memorial Music Scholarship at Nassau Community College.
As a member of several original bands, musical projects and solo performance acts, I've played the piano/keyboard, wrote music/lyrics, sang lead and backup vocals or did a combination of the above.
During this time I worked closely with other advanced teachers and musicians to gain other methods, styles and techniques of music.

My name is Briana and I am currently studying music education at Hofstra University specializing in voice. I'm part of many ensembles there such as the Chorale and Chamber choir. I have sung the national anthem for the Nassau Coliseum for many of their events. Being I have been taking professional private voice lessons since age 7, I want to share what I have learned with my students! I studied contemporary music techniques (belting) for 10 years and operatic techniques for 8 years. I have prepared many children for NYSSMA / various performances and look forward to helping my students grow not only as great singers but musicians!

I graduated with my Bacholers in Music and Pyschology with a focus on opera voice in 2009. In my performance program I really grew as a vocalist and learned how to overcome my own obstacles and improve my vocal technique for myself. I started professionally and privately studying vocal technique when I was 17 and prior to that I was performing musical theater in school and in community performance groups. I really found my passion in classical repetoire and studied with numerous private teachers who were professional opera singers such as, Carol Yahr, Maria Fattore, and Annelise Von Georken. I began singing before I could even walk. I started choir when I was eight years old and never left. In high school I was part of the auditioned jazz choir, Soprano I section leader, assistant vocal coach and vice president of the TRI-M music honor society. In my senior year I was president of the drama club and played Mrs. Potts in "Beauty and the Beast". I have performed several times in the All-County chorus as well as at the Kennedy Space Center and Universal Studios in Orlando. Now I am a Music Education major at Adelphi University where I participate in the Opera Workshop! My students always come first and I strive to give them everything they need to succeed as musicians.

I hold an associates degree (NCC) in music performance, and will be graduating from Hofstra University with a bachelors degree in Music Education in May 2014. I am an experienced music teacher, and have found great results with a variety of teaching methods for students of all ages.

I began playing piano when I was 5 years old and have played ever since! I graduated from The Crane School of Music with a concentration in piano and have played in solo recitals, concerts, plays and have accompanied vocalists and instrumentalists. I started playing the drumset at age 12, and have been playing for 20 years, and teaching for 5 years. My drum playing covers many different styles including Rock, Jazz, Funk, Punk, and my favorite, Progressive Rock. Born in Cebu City, Philippines in 1990, raised primarily in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and other Southeast Asian countries, and pursuing further education in the United States of America, Hopengrace ("Penny") is a Global Nomad currently situated in the Greater New York City Area.

She started taking music lessons from her mother at the age of four and learned to read music at the same time she started to read storybooks. ​From the age of ten, Hopengrace took violin lessons, during her parents' rare furloughs, from Mr. Frederico Regner, a World War II veteran returned from the United States. While in the Philippines for a combined year of junior and senior level high school, she took violin lessons from Mr. Marc Hamlet Mercado and Mr. Rodelio Flores. My love affair with music began in his childhood home in Israel, surrounded by European classical music and opera. When the 1960’s pop revolution started to filter onto Israeli radio from England, Sarel became captivated with the simplicity and lyricism of the Beatles. In 1989 Sarel began his jazz education at Berklee College of Music, where he began an intensive collaboration with Jerry Bergonzi, who encouraged and honed Sarel’s improvisational skills.
