I am a composer, arranger, and producer with a continual appreciation for music and the arts. I embarked on my musical journey at a young age, receiving instruction in basic piano, moving on to study classical piano, and then learning jazz piano. I began writing solo compositions for piano as an early teen, and quickly thereafter learned how to use recording equipment. I also learned to play the saxophone as a child, playing in various elementary and high-school school bands. Often would my father, brother and I perform events held at our church as a saxophone trio, playing standard jazz pieces from the 1950s and '60s. While studying at Goucher College, I learned music theory, music history, and arranged several of my own pieces and a few original arrangements for the Jazz Ensemble. I discovered music sifting through my Dad's record collection and soon decided that I wanted to play guitar. As a teenager I began taking lessons and building confidence in my abilities. I played in different types of bands ranging from rock, country, blues, and jazz. After completing College in 2003, I realized music was not just going to be a hobby, but a career. At age 29, I have been teaching and playing guitar professionally for the last six years. I believe that anybody can learn to play as long as they are patient and understand that anything worthwhile takes time and sustained effort to achieve. You also need a good teacher who understands how to take you where you want to go musically. I have taught over a hundred different students of all ages and abilities. I have seen many of them grow musically and gain confidence in other areas of their lives as a result. I aim to inspire every student to find their way to a rewarding life through music.

I have been playing guitar for almost 20 years. I was blessed to have a great instructor who motivated me and provided me with a great foundation to build upon. I have been playing guitar for around 28 years, I have performed in many states and continue to do so. Playing live is a very special part of playing music, I have also recorded in the studio - it's always great to put your music onto a cd or help a fellow musician out and record when they need someone else to listen. Plus you always have your recording to listen to for a long time. My background comes from learning from a nationally known professional musician who has been performing for over 30 years on world tours & recorded on 10 different albums. I also have studied in different music workshops in the U.S with world renown pro guitarists.

I am originally from Stamford, Connecticut and I currently reside in the DC Metropolitan area where I am a music teacher. I began playing piano at the age of 5 and I started playing the trumpet at the age of 10. I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Lynchburg College in 2008, where I served as the principal trumpet player in the Lynchburg College Symphony, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. I also obtained my Master of Science Degree in Human Services from Post University in 2010.

As a music producer/composer, I have worked with artists from Capitol Records, Warner Brothers Records, Young Money (Cash Money/Universal) as well as independent record labels. In all of my compositions I have served as the keyboard player. I have experience as an engineer using music technology tools such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reason 4.0, Cubase and FL Studio.

Khalil has had a life filled with music. His musical endeavors began at the age of six and since that time he has built mastery in the areas of piano, organ, drums, and saxophone. He sought formal music education at Elizabeth City University where he attended via a scholarship for his skills in rhythm. It was during this time that he strengthened his skills in percussion such as drums and piano. After matriculating Khalil went on to play for several well acclaimed artist and gospel groups throughout his career. He currently is a Director of Music and chief organist for a local church in the Washington Metro area. He specializes in Gospel, Contemporary Christian, Jazz, and R&B; however can play and train all genres of interest, including classical.

Steve is originally from the Binghamton, NY area and began studying drums at the age of 12 with local jazz musician Tony Monforte. He participated in the All State Orchestra and was placed on the Pro-Mark Honor Roll for young, up-and-coming drummers. Steve received a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY where he studied with Gordon Stout, Steve Brown, and Robert Bridge. He was selected to participate in the Henry Mancini Institute where he worked with some of the leading jazz, film, and classical musicians and composers from around the world including Terence Blanchard, Bud Shank, Christian McBride, and Jerry Goldsmith. He has also studied with Steve Houghton, Greg Fields, John Vidacovich, and Harold Jones.

Hi my name is Aleksis, know by thousands of students as "Mr B." I'm 33, happily married with a one year old daughter and five year old son. I have been teaching music for over twenty years now. I have been performing locally and nationally since 1992, solo and with a band, at hundreds of venues across the country as a singer/songwriter guitarist and keyboardist. I've been teach Guitar and Bass for about 2 years now. I've recently been tutoring music theory for college level students. I like getting to know my students as I teach them.
