Having graduated from Westminster Choir College, I have learned many techniques for helping students to understand their voices better. I have taken voice lessons myself for the past 8 years, and still do take them. This gives me the opportunity to learn new and different techniques. As every student is different, there are many different techniques that can help the student to find their voice.
One style of teaching that I really feel is important when discussing the voice is the idea of just singing. Often times, as was my experience, when people hear voices they like they will mimic that sound. The problem with that is that the person will start singing with a voice that does not belong to them. That is usually the first goal for a voice teacher to achieve, is to find the students voice again.

I am a graduate of The University of The arts with a BA in music performance. The University of The Arts has allowed me to gain a reputable amount of performance and educational work. In my training at the University was able to concentrate on many styles of performance such as classical technique as well as Broadway and jazz. With that in mind, it is also important to stay current on today’s music as well. Sandra began her training at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia. She is a two time recipient of the Mario Lanza Award, and holds a B.M. degree in opera from the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts. She studied acting at both the Wilma and Walnut Theaters in Philadelphia. In New York, she studied Shakespeare at the HB Studios, and received on-camera training at the Weisst- Barron Commercial School. Sandra is a member of Actor's Equity.

Elizabeth has been seen on stage with most of the Philadelphia area Gilbert & Sullivan groups, including The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Chester County, Ardensingers, and Thespis Etc., and performed the roles of Patience (Patience), Yum-Yum (The Mikado), Rose Maybud (Ruddigore), Angelina (Trial by Jury), and Fiammetta (Gondoliers) in 2008 and 2009.

Most recently, Elizabeth performed the leading soprano role in the world premiere of an original opera with Opera Delaware in Wilmington, DE's Fringe Festival. Originally a San Diego native. I moved to New York when I was 18 to attend the Manhattan School of Music. I had the wonderful opportunity of being able to perform, and audition all around the city. My last year of school I sang as resident young artist with the DiCapo Opera. After graduating with my Bachelor of Music from MSM in 2010, I moved to Philadelphia to attend the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts, where I performed in many of their shows and concerts. After settling nicely into Philadelphia, I am now working and performing as a musician in the Philadelphia Area.

Newport, Tennessee born Luke G., is quickly earning a name for himself around the country as an up-and-coming leading tenor. Luke’s training includes a B.A. in Music from Emory and Henry College, and a M.M. in Voice from The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. I have been making music my entire life. I began studying the violin at age 5 and the piano at age 6, and then when I was 8 started singing in school and church choirs. I received a music scholarship to high school which kept me busy accompanying people and participating in various instrumental and vocal groups. I began taking voice lessons as a freshman at New York University, and I'm now in year 8 of my vocal studies.

After graduating from school, I sang in several operas with the Amato Opera company in New York, and staged a recital here in Philadelphia at the First Unitarian Church. I have been a professional member of the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh and the Philadelphia Singers, and a volunteer member of Singing City.

I have maintained a small private studio since 2008, and have given vocal workshops at a handful of artists' retreats.

Hey!! My name is John and I am a working operatic baritone. I recently finished my master's degree at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and am now making my living by singing and teaching. I attended Temple University for my undergraduate studies.

I have performed roles with Temple University, the Cincinnati Conservatory, Lake George Opera, Chautauqua Opera, the Chautauqua Institute of Voice and with CCM Spoleto in Spoleto, Italy. My roles include Dandini (La Cenerentola), Forrester (Cunning Little Vixen), Schaunard (La Boheme), Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Ben (The Telephone) and many more. I, also, have performed as a concert and oratorio soloist around the Philadelphia area.
