My name is Kat and i'm really looking forward to learning something fun with you! I consider myself a wannabe Glass Artist. I am currently working on a dinosaur quilt- completely done out of fused glass screen printed with glass powders.
I did not study Education at school, but for nearly two years i have been teaching glass fusing and basic sewing (ages 5-93) at a great art facility (no longer in business). I have been providing private lessons since September 2014.
I have a BA in Art History from CU Boulder and a Masters in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from Newcastle University. I grew up sewing, learned to knit just over 10 years ago, and got into quilting about 4 years ago (when I got my own machine and could stop borrowing my moms.) My first experience with glass was 6 years ago and I've been hooked ever since!
I consider myself a patient, fun, and encouraging instructor. I like to cater each lesson to your individual desires and ability while being fun and challenging. Sometimes you gotta go back to basics but i try to do so in a way that encourages and exemplifies growth.
I hope to work with you and help you reach your artistic goals, the grander the better!!

Hi everyone! I'm a 28 year old Student at Metropolitan State University. I'm a Industrial Design Major and love making things! I've been trained in a a lot of different mediums through the program and have learned lots on my own. My Grandma and Mom taught me how to Knit and Sew when I was very young and throughout my adolescent years I perfected my craft. In my early 20's I became sewing and knitting obsessed and sold lots of my designs and creations at craft fairs now I just make things for my friends and family and think about product design on a bigger scale and focus on school. I'm always excited and happy to teach all that I know to anyone else. Lets sit, drink tea and knit your first scarf or get through a challenging pattern together.
"Steven is very professional and extremely helpful. He always has a smile on and is serious about helping you phrase the music. I would highly recommend him to anyone."
"It's been really exciting so far! Jordan has been so helpful, so knowledgeable. I could not have found a better instructor and I'm getting better and better every day."
"My daughter's wedding was weeks away and I had never been able to dance a step. With Jenny's help, I came further than ever before in such short time in any subject."
