I started playing drums in church at an early age. I started studying drums and piano at age 14. My fist teacher was a great musician named chad Johnson. After that I studied with current Berkley College of Music faculty member Henrique Alemeida and with him i learned technique and tools to play all genres. I also studied with Phd. Jonathan Latta at Fort Lewis college and through him i learned classical percussion and some drum set repertoire. For music theory I studied with Phd. Hoyt Andreas of Metro State University. From the age of 4, RaShelle composed music and played piano by ear, dreaming of the day when she would be able to hear her pieces played by full string orchestras and symphony orchestras. In high school, she began studying classical piano performance with Mrs. Patricia Randolph, graduate of Eastman School of Music.
