Rated 5 out of 5 by YRenay Great teacher & fun!
Flexible, positive, patient & fun! Provided excellent feedback to improve skills. My daughter really enjoyed learning from Tiffini. Wish she lived closer so we could have continued acting/voice lessons!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ellen Adapts Well to Student Needs and Interests
Tiffiny has a wonderful mix of encouragement, creativity and insight. She is very good at discovering student interests and incorporating them into the class setting. She is also a cornucopia in terms of skils and techniques. Tiffiny is patient and flexible in terms of student's ability to progress. I could go on for pages. She is wonderful, especially considering she was my introduction to the world of voice. Thank you!

i have just finished my second lesson with her last week and i really like Tiffany she very nice and has lots of patients she is always looking to make the lesson fun but if you have a pitch or something in your voice shell let you no that you needed to hit the notes right which i think makes her the best teacher on this site i would recommend Tiffany 100%

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sonny Tiffany is an excellent teacher!!
I have been taking beginner lessons from Tiffany since June and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She has the patience of a saint and has successfully guided this very old dog through many new tricks!
I highly recommend Tiffany to anyone who is interested in learning to play the piano.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SchrodingersCactus attentive to detail; corrects your vocalization errors
I'm someone who dreaded the vocalist roIe in Guitar Hero and Rockband. I had no singing experience, and and my musical exposure consists of (failing at) the dubious recorder lessons that middle school kids were forced into. I was with Tiffini from summer 2011 to summer 2012 and, at one lesson each week and 1-2 hours of practice a day, extended my range to 3 octaves (2.5 if not fully warmed up).
The first few weeks were focused on handling the warm-ups. She gives each student a CD containing 12 tracks that work on pronunciation, forward resonance, extending the chest voice, preventing the tongue from going too far back, and others for which I do not know the mechanics of. She goes over square breathing (breathing for X duration, holding for X duration, and exhaling for X duration; goal to increase X) but I stopped focusing on that after week 8 (which probably explains why I sometimes run out of breath when not careful). We also worked on reading chords, but we eventually stopped. I didn't feel like we had enough time.
My first 3-4 sessions were spent mastering warm-ups. After familiarizing myself to warm-ups, our sessions became
15 minutes of warm-ups, 10 minutes of singing, and 5 minutes on questions/greetings. The breakdown eventually became 10-15-5 as we sped up the speed of each warm-up exercise.
Tiffini allows you to work on any song, but I recommend that you give her a selection and have her choose one that best fits your skill and goals. If she doesn't have the song, she'll supply the song, its no-voice version, and it's chord-lyric sheet for you at cost rounded to nearest next dollar. We worked on my head voice the first maybe 5 months, expanding my chest range for the next 3ish, and switched to my lower chest the last
2.
While singing your song or warm-up, she'll hit piano keys to guide you along if you're having trouble. She'll also
sing along if you're going too slow or fast (of which I was constantly guilty of). She notified me when I put
too much pressure on my throat, slid my jaw, made my jaw rigid, or made pronunciation errors. When she tells
you about raising the soft palette, really do work on that! The action helps tremendously.
I still need work on my entire range (especially how I sound like Kevin from The Office
with my lowest notes), but I've definitely improved and have better control and sound (especially
the upper notes) than my friends. I full heartily recommend Tiffini.
p.s. she has 2 doggies.
