Hi, my name is Steve. I have been playing guitar for over 8 years and am the LEAD guitar player in a rock band called LOADED GUNS. I graduated from Miami Dade College with a degree in music education and have extensive experience touring all over the U.S. I specialize in ROCK and METAL guitar but am well versed in other styles such as punk, pop, indie and others.

Music has been a part of my life for over 4 decades. I stepped onstage when I was 15, and have been active in the music business ever since. I was raised in the New York / New England area, and played in many bands in the 70's and 80's, most notably the band AVALON. I moved to Florida in the late 80's and began to develop a one man show, using the emerging technology available. I called the show YIN YANG, the infinite possibility of Music. I chose the name, as it is the Oriental symbol for balance, and used it to represent the balance between the electric and acoustic, and the technology of today with the classic music from yesterday. Midi guitar and guitar synthesis became my trademarks as I pushed the boundaries of how I could express myself on the guitar. I have been a rounded bass player for the past 13 years and a guitar/bass instructor for the past 7 years. Since I came to Florida back in 2003 my passion for authentic music has grown tremendously. I've been a member of the STM (Strong Tower Ministries) band, New Life Fellowship Band and now (2006 – present) I'm currently a member of the Living Word Christian Center Band. As I continue to develop my craft I have challenged myself to commence working on an album of my own and becoming an extraordinary bass player and soloist. Even though most of my background and experience is with gospel music (which includes all genre of music), I have been very fortunate to work in the studio alongside Jam Loud Entertainment and other artist in the music and entertainment industry.

I am currectly a violist at Florida Atlantic University seeking my bachelors in Music Education. I have received the highest honors in state competitions and I have had the pleasure of working with some of the top university orchestras in the southeast, including the University of South Florida Symphony Orchestra and the University of Tampa Orchestra. I began playing guitar when I was fourteen years old starting with acoustic guitar and shortly there after began playing electric as well. My initial musical interests ranged from rock, classic rock, jam band, jazz, folk, bluegrass and acoustic artists. The styles of music I continue to explore are across the board. My interest in David Grisman and the eclectic style of music his band had the ability to play led me to begin playing the mandolin at the age of seven-teen. With four wonderful years of musical teaching experience, I share my gifts and talents with those who too want to express themselves through music. I believe music is worldwide language and so do not intend to stifle any students individual style or sound with technique. Instead I allow the student to take the lessons and techniques learned and together we find ways to adapt to that style so that their best 'musical picture' is heard.
Apart from teaching, I enjoy singing at my own gigs, doing backgrounds for other artists, and working on new music for production in the studio. I have produced my debut album in 2007 and have released two new singles marketed to the Caribbean/reggae/latin genre. I have directed elementary and middle school choirs and led the musicianship of musicals.
I believe if a student has their talent, dream, and enthusiasm packed in their backpack...then they are ready to start lessons.
