About Me

I believe that music is in all of us, no matter the age, and I want to help you discover your talents. There are so many different ways you can express yourself through music and really incorporate it in all parts of life. Whether it's to hone creative thinking, learn teamwork or to encourage control and discipline, music will help. I grew up with music in my everyday life and continue to use and appreciate all that it has taught me.

I started piano lessons when I was 10 and continued to play through high school. I even joined the marching band and concert band, doing malleted keyboards, because I wanted to do as much music as I could. I went to Eastern Kentucky University on a music scholarship where I continued to take lessons and participate in as many ensembles as possible. They included marching band, percussion ensemble, steel band, and accompanying. About Me

I studied classical guitar and composition at Asbury College and later more in depth guitar studies rock, jazz, and classical at the Atlanta Institute of Music. I have been teaching steadily for the past ten years as well as spending my time with various other musical projects such as leading worship for my church, performing for various parties and weddings, and composing and recording music for a short film. I use my experience and broad understanding of music to inform the way that I teach, so that my students have a robust experience of all aspects of music.

About Me

I have performing and studying the fine arts for over ten years. I have performed in New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles...just to name a few. My background includes musical theater, classical voice performance, pop music-recording, and dramatic arts teaching and performing. I hold a Master's Degree from University of Southern California-Rossier School of Education in single subject teaching along with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Clayton State University. I have been teaching private lessons (both voice and drama) and seminar style classes for the last 6 years. At the age of 16 I had the opportunity to sing at the Atlanta Symphony Hall and open for Bruce Hornsby!! Throughout my undergraduate studies I performed in both ensemble and solo performances in the biggest opera house in the south-eastern region, Spivey Hall. I have worked as and coached recording artist/s all over Atlanta thus serving as an instructor who is familiar with all performance styles.

"Music is an important essence of life! Whether you believe it or not everyone loves music. The world is full of music from the birds singing in the trees, to the wind blowing on a sunny day, or to your favorite song tune whether it be a ringtone or music from your radio. I decided at the age 9 to get a better understanding of beats and rhythms and by my junior year of high school, thinking about my future, what better else thing to study and make a living off of than MUSIC!"

I am an all around exciting person. I love to sing,dance, play the keyboard, think positive, write touching music, meet fun people, and live life to the fullest. I have long and short-term goals. My short-term goals consist of graduating (pretty soon!!!) from Georgia State University, helping my younger relatives make positive decisions on college or life in general, and just write as much music as possible. About Me

My main musical area of interest is traditional and/or contemporary gospel. I have also developed a strong interest in the contemporary Christian genre. I am well versed in hymns and various forms of sacred music. In addition, I have performed rhythm and blues, pop, and beginning to intermediate classical.

With 20 years of teaching experience, I am a 1978 graduate of Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia, where I studied voice and piano. At present, I am the Minister of Music at an Atlanta area church. I am also a songwriter and producer who released a gospel/inspirational solo CD entitled ‘Ministry’ in 2007.

I have eight years teaching experience and have a bachelors in guitar performance. I attended AIM on bass guitar and have been playing for eighteen years. Through my education and experience I have had success in teaching the fundamentals and getting my students up to speed by teaching technique and strong music fundamentals. I teach all ages and am enthusiastic about conveying my love for the instrument.

I am a professional singer, having performed over the past 20 years with opera companies, orchestras, and theater companies across the United States and in Europe. I love music and I love performing. What I also l love, in fact am passionate about, is helping others to find the richness that comes from learning about music and about performing. I love seeing that sparkle in the eye when one of my students masters that tough song. I love celebrating with a student when he or she gets that vocal scholarship to college, or makes All-State Chorus, or gives a brilliant recital!

It's been my privilege to help kids and adults find their voices on guitar, bass, vocals, drums, recording, and everything else rock, pop, rap, reggae, and R&B for years. I am living in Atlanta and collaborating with musicians in the impressive ATL music scene. I help students form bands, write songs, and play out in less than 4 months. About Me

Buzz is an independent producer, writer, arranger, & keyboardist with over 30 years in the music industry. He appears on more than 150 CDs (2 received platinum certification) as performer or producer.

During the 80s, Buzz toured the world with the legendary Curtis Mayfield as musical director and during that time became staff producer for Ichiban Records. In the 90s, Buzz focused on production & arranging, working with some of music’s finest such as Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum, & Ben E King to name a few.

In 2000, Buzz created Amatones Music. He has composed music for CNN, Delta Airlines, The Discovery Channel, the Weather Channel as well as for film and TV. His orchestration skills provided him the opportunity to score 2 songs for jazz pianist Bob Thompson and the West VA Symphony Orchestra.

Sept of 05 Buzz released his debut CD “A Collection” on Blue Canoe Records. Music from that release can be found in both film and TV .
