I , Abdo A, am a multi-instrumentalist and teacher. I have been a professional musician for 15 years, having earned my degree from Syracuse University in 1973. I have taught over 700 private students in the past 15 years in primarily piano, and guitar, but also on banjo, bass and harmonica. I conduct yearly recitals, encourage supplementary group sessions and show my student performances on YouTube. I am happy to lend instruments to students who are not ready to purchase them, and will do anything to foster the love of music in my students. I also teach disabled students - I'm an approved vendor of the State of New Jersey Department of Developmental Disabilities, Monmouth Cares, and the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County. I belong to The National Teachers Music Association. I currently play piano weekly at Jesse's Cafe, A local restaurant in the Long Branch Area.

I have taught for 18 years, giving both private and group lessons. I am a professional musician, having played in numerous bands, recorded and played shows. I have taugh all ages, and all elvels, and all styles. I play a number of instruments including piano, guitar, bass, violin, banjo, mandolin, and harmonica, in addition to writing and singing. In keeping the learning process fun and interesting, I’m a big advocate of utilizing any possible resource out there for the benefit of the student. I love gadgets! Must be at least half a dozen devices around here expressly for the purpose of improving a drummer’s time-sense. I was a multimedia developer for 10 years, specializing in computer-based training, and I draw on that experience as well.

I have been in the entertainment business since I was 7 years old, appearing in the movie "Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush". I did a 4 year degree course at The University Of Hertfordshire in Musical Theater and went on to be a hit songwriter. In the 90's I was signed by Simon Cowell to his record company in London. I also sang back up for Sir Paul McCartney and The Spice Girls. As a teacher, I am supportive and encouraging. Being a singer myself I understand how to maintain my voice amid the stresses of being working vocalist. Students will benefit from my experience and my teaching technique.

Teaching music is my passion, it is more than just a career. I value each student and the time I have with them; to help them explore the world of music. Hopefully after each lesson, my students walk away with a deeper understanding of music theory and have enjoyed their time. I have made music my life. I studied piano from the age of 5. I have performed with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra, the Garden State Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Ocean County College Band and Chorus, the Georgian Court University Band, et al. I wouldn't be doing what I do if I wasn't having fun at it.

I was a Classroom Music Teacher, teaching 3 year olds thru students in grade 8. I am currently a Church Organist for 3 congregations, a Choir Director and Accompanist, and a Private Piano Teacher.

I have been an active musician around the New York music scene for the past 8 years. I have played every club, ballroom and theater in the area. I also have done some touring in Europe. I am also an audio engineer who records and mixes musicians as well as working in a live sound venue.

Jaclyn is a highly-acclaimed Singer, Pianist, & Music Educator based in New York City. Classically & commercially trained, Jaclyn has been teaching for 7 years. She has a vast amount of experience in both performing and teaching Jazz, Pop, Rock, R&B, Musical Theatre, & Classical music. She both studied and graduated Cum Laude from California State University, Long Beach’s Bob Cole Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor’s degree of Music in Jazz Studies. She’s performed throughout Southern California and is now embarking on a career in New York City.

In 2012, Jaclyn created an organization called "The Rose Movement" as a campaign to help people reach their goals. Upon founding the organization, Jaclyn named her Voice & Piano Lesson Studio, "The Rose Village," as an educational branch of "The Rose Movement."
