Time to Rock n' Roll in Dallas

By Drew S. - Dallas Guitar Teacher

Dallas, Texas is a constantly evolving musical metropolis. The music scene of Austin often casts its shadow over the great opportunities that Dallas provides to musicians of all abilities. Deep Ellum is home to many clubs where budding guitarists can gain exposure and experience with live performance. While larger venues such as the House of Blues showcase the talents of many different professional musicians, The Afters, The Toadies, and (most notably) ZZ-Top all started playing in the small venues within the Dallas music scene.

Dallas is most well known for its gospel-funk, rock, country and coffeehouse styles of music. Dallas Baptist University and the University of North Texas, both located in Dallas, have some of the best graduate programs for Music Business and Recording in the nation, ranking only behind Belmont and Julliard. Dallas offers the opportunity for musicians of all levels to not only increase their abilities, but also their careers. If you are interested in taking guitar lessons in Dallas, this is the perfect place to get started.

Dallas is filled with people eager to learn music and share it with the community. The students that I have worked with who are taking guitar lessons in Dallas often want to learn country and classic rock styles. However, all styles are seen within the music scene of Dallas. This community is filled with eager musicians who want to expand their music portfolio. During my three years of teaching experience, I have not come across a city that is better for young musicians to enter the field. Dedicated students often see the fruits of their labor due to the great music scene of Dallas. If you are interested in pursuing a career as a musician or a teacher in Dallas, the city has plenty to offer. Sign up for guitar lessons in Dallas today!
