I am a professional performing Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter with 25+ years experience playing and teaching. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from Temple University and spent 6 years performing in NYC with various groups and ensembles. I have studied and teach Classical guitar, Theory from both a classical and Jazz view point, Composition/Arrangement, Counterpoint and performance techniques such as repertoire building and maintenance.

Originally from Baltimore, classical pianist Gabrielle S. studied at Peabody Preparatory with a focus in performance and music theory. Later, she moved to Pittsburgh and received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Duquesne University and is currently working on her Master's of Music Degree in Music Technology: Composition. She has won the Spring Piano Competition of the Duquesne Piano Department for three years in a row. She frequently records all periods of repertoire and also many original compositions. She has a strong passion for performing and writing the highest quality of music. If you are considering becoming a professional musician or are just interested in developing a rewarding hobby, she will help you accomplish your musical goals.

I am a professional percussionist and recording engineer with a Bachelors in Music Technology from Duquesne University. I have been playing for 14 years and am versed in in many drumming styles including rock, funk, jazz, afro-cuban, and brazilian. As a recording engineer I have recorded every genre from classical to metal. I cover everything from sound theory and physics to hands on application.

I grew up around Atlanta, GA and started playing piano when I was around 7 years old and bass when I was 11. Most of my education has been on the upright bass. I've studied classical bass performance at major music schools on the east coast and in the midwest. I've studied and worked with musicians from many of the great orchestras around the world.

I enjoy working with students who are just coming to the bass or piano for the first time and getting them started with music in a rewarding way as well as more advanced students that need finer musical direction or audition coaching.

I received a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. I continued my studies in New York City in voice, acting and diction.

I continue to be an active performer specializing in musical theater, opera and concert. I began my professional career as an apprentice with the Portland Opera in Oregon. Since then, I have appeared with opera companies and orchestras throughout the United States and abroad and am a frequent guest vocalist and recitalist.

Though I've lived in Pittsburgh my whole life, I've found and played music all over the country! I'm a highly trained classical violinist who's spent the last many years looking into the alternative sides to the violin and since graduating from Pittsburgh's well respected CAPA, I've been bringing that knowledge and fun into Pittsburgh's live music scene.

I love all kinds of music and think that the violin could have a place in any genre, as long as the player remembers that it's always supposed to be fun! Hello! I am currently a student at Carnegie Mellon University, where I am pursuing a Master Degree in Trombone Performance. I study Trombone with Peter Sullivan of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh in the Summer of 2011, I was studying Music Education at Youngstown State University.

I have a great love of performing in many different styles and venues, from Symphony Orchestras to Drum and Bugle Corps, to Jazz Big Bands. I am a former member of the World Class Drum and Bugle Corps, Phantom Regiment, and was in the group as a Euphonium player when we won the DCI 2008 World Championship with our Award Winning Show, "Spartacus". Other performance includes the CMU Philharmonic, Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Pierre Monteux Festival Orchestra, Dana Jazz Ensemble, Dana Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and the Wagon Wheel Theater Orchestra.

My name is Cara R., I'm 22, a recent college graduate of Grove City College with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. Flute was my main instrument, but i also play piano too. I've played flute for 12 years and piano for 7. This is my first time teaching, but my dream job would be to teach lessons from my home. I love music and I absolutely love teaching anyone who is interested to learn about it! From the basics to the notes on the staff, to the circle of fifths and complicated theory, i would love to teach all aspects of music. If you're a beginner, or you've been playing for a few years, we can find where you are and get you started right away!
