I love to sing, and I have a passion for teaching students to sing well. I have sung in choruses all my life, and have been inspired by fine conductors and great composers. I am certain that music enlivens my life like nothing else, and it can do that for everyone. Whether you sing in the shower, or in the choir, or with a few friends, or in an opera, you can find your song.

Learning to play the piano, from the very beginning, or picking up where you left off in the past, will bring a spark to your life. Whether you want to play for yourself or some friends, or want to get on track to becoming a concert pianist, music will enrich your life.

About Me

Rob (aka R.J.): Born in Detroit, Michigan, RJ studied r&b and jazz from Motown drummers and Funk Brothers Benny Benjamin and Uriel Jones. From the age of fifteen he played in rhythm & blues and jazz combos around Detroit. He then studied privately with Berklee School of Music drum maestro, Gene Stuart,studied with mallet studies with Mark Johnson and earned a Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University, moved to San Francisco and studied North Indian percussion and tabla with Zakir Hussain, trap set with jazz recording artists George Marsh. He is a consummate producer, performer, recording artist and teacher. He plays and teaches all styles of rhythm including jazz, funk, blues, rock, latin, and world fusion. He teaches drumset, congas, djembe, tabla, cajon and hand percussion. About Me

John holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Lawrence Conservatory of Music as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Lawrence University. He has studied extensively with Catherine Kautsky, chair of the Lawrence Conservatory piano department, as well as with Dmitri Novgorodsky, current professor of piano at the Rubin Academy of Jerusalem. He has performed in masterclasses for esteemed pianists and pedagogues such as Simone Dinnerstein and Natalya Antonova. As collaborative pianist, he performed in masterclasses with acclaimed Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman as well as the members of the long respected Guarneri String Quartet.

He has attended music festivals such as the Innsbrook Summer Music Institute, where he performed in recitals and masterclasses, studied piano under Jack Winerock, and received coachings from members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and Biava String Quartet. I am a fabulous teacher. Really! As a member of NATS (National Organization of Teachers of Singing), I hold my teaching skills to a high standard. No matter what kind music you like to sing, I can help you become more comfortable and have lots of fun! Maybe you want to experiment with pop, jazz or rock? Maybe you like current Broadway hits? About Me

Travis grew up in a musical family in Santa Cruz, CA. His father was a professional guitarist and his Grandfather was the head of the music program at Cabrillo College in Aptos, so naturally he grew up with and instrument in his hand. After years of toying with the guitar Travis began formal lesson at the age of 9, quickly developing into an exceptional musician. By the age of 13 Travis was in several rock bands and performing frequently. Once in high school, Travis had no doubt that being a professional musician was what we wanted to do with his life so he started studying jazz and classical piano at a college level, studying with jazz trumpeter/arranger Ray Brown and classically trained pianist Ivan Rosenblum. Travis excelled and quickly began playing in the top Jazz Combo at Cabrillo College and in the top Big Band as well as playing professionally. My Teaching:
I love to teach music to all ages, and have taught hundreds of students in the last 15 years. What you can expect from me is a clear, patient, and understanding teacher who is able to able to meet you where you are on your musical journey, and assist you to expand your knowledge and mastery of the instrument, usually having a lot of fun along the way. I am very comfortable even with teens who know what they want to learn, as well as absolute beginners and kids who need %100 guidance in there practice. I really enjoy students who come to me with some experience and want to learn songs that they love. I enjoy teaching music theory as well as reading, but do not require it.

Stefaie August is a private music educator located in San Francisco, CA. She has been assisting students of all levels gain a mastery of voice, piano, music theory, and compostion for over 20 years. Her specialty is jazz, rock, blues and pop music.

Stefanie holds a bachelor of Music cum laude degree in jazz studies from the University of Bridgeport. She is also a highly accomplished vocalist and pianist who continues to perform whenever possible.

Thank you for your interest in voice lessons! I am a singer who teaches and performs in and around San Francisco. I have a strong passion for teaching voice and sharing my knowledge of singing and the musical arts with others. I believe with the right instruction and determination anyone has the ability to sing!

I am a classically trained singer, which means my teaching will involve classical techniques. The techniques and skills I teach can be used for various singing genres such as musical theater, pop, rock, opera, jazz, blues and gospel singing. I believe voice lessons are fun, and also beneficial for improving music skills, expanding the range, developing vocal stamina and quality, and increasing confidence.

I have been drumming for 15 years and currently I am playing professionally in the Bay Area, after studying Music Performance at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA. I am funny, friendly, outgoing, and love to play drums, along with teaching music.

I tend to work mainly as a "For Hire" drummer on multiple acts including the styles of; Pop/Rock/Funk/Reggae and Hip-hop.
I have been fortunate to have toured with great acts such as; The Vans Warped Tour, BANG!/Street Drum Corps, Rise of the Revolution, Collie Buddz, Blood and Water, The Phenomenauts, The Groovie Ghoulies, and many others in both sides of the Music Business, not to mention sharing the stage with; Sunspot Jonz, The Grouch, Murs, Living Legends, Tech-9, Andre Nickatina, and The Hieroglyphics’ Crew.
